AniInterview Sorry, this movie sucks
Mjeteconer Just perfect...
Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
Hayden Kane There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
Tatla23 I was looking on IMDb for good serials i could start watching, and then I saw Cobra Kai. I was thrilled to see that it had got 9,3 rating (at that time) and therefore I saw the trailer to see what it was about. I had an Spanish exame the day after and I didn't prepare for it, instead I started watching Cobra Kai, and man I do not regret it. I saw the whole show on 1 day, and therefore I couldn't even prepare for my exame, but I just couldn't stop watching the serial because it was so catchy. It is in my top best 3 serials 4 sure.I really recommend watching it, but to get the best understanding u should have watched Karate kid before.
cbockiii Billy Zabka was the huge surprise here. Yeah he was great as an 80's brainless bully who always got beat down to end the movies he was in. But he never really got to act in any of those movies. He acts for real in this show, and he's DAMN GOOD, not to mention funny as hell. Yeah, you have a little bit of trouble taking him seriously like anyone else would, and the writers expect that. The pace moves very quickly and they got a great group of young actors. Ralph Macchio is very good as well, although he's not as big of a character this season. They also do a fantastic job of laying a foundation for a million possible plot turns in the next seasons. I'm giving this 10/10 because it's harder to make a show for all ages. The same reason Forrest Gump beat out Pulp Fiction. I've got young kids that are watching this show and laughing like crazy, it's so much fun. Superb job on this one, guys, I cannot wait for Season 2. Get me more of Hawk and Miss Robinson! I'm a Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad junkie, but the first season of this show is up there near them. It's hard to compare because Cobra Kai is shorter episodes.
brian-49621 Just the fact that the two stars from the original movie were in it made this a must watch, very slight hopes that it would actually be good were creeping through as I excitedly discovered how to get a free trial for YouTube premium. But, wow, William Zabka is one of the greatest deadpan actors of all time. The whole show is damn near perfect, especially the slew of new young actors in some ways reliving the original all over again breathe new life into it rather falling into a trap of bad copying. Ralph Macchio's Daniel is still as brilliantly awkward as ever but a little less annoying. The production is up there with my favourite tv shows of all time and I'm just about to watch the final episode so it might make it to the top. We need more of this show.
mail-93088 When I first saw the trailer for Cobra Kai I thought why have they brought this story back from the dead. I literally laughed. And I'm a big fan, especially if the first two movies as I first saw them as a young boy in the 80's and owned then on VHS for years. While the acting didn't seem to be very graceful at first, or at least not what I've been use to from many great TV shows off the last decade. I was wrong about the overall story and just how much I enjoyed it. I laughed at the humour several times throughout the first season of Cobra Kai, felt great sadness that Pat Morita (Mr Miyagi) is no longer with us, and was thoroughly entertained as the story unfolded. I felt like a young guy again watching The Karate Kid again for the first time.I know this isn't the greatest review, but as a general fan of many great TV shows this first season was a real pleasant surprise, which I highly recommend to anyone who grew up in the 80's and was a fan of the Karate Kid.
