Matialth Good concept, poorly executed.
InformationRap This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
Kaelan Mccaffrey Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
Tobias Burrows It's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.
daniel-stilgard Blonde Ambition is a very funny comedy that you laughing many times.I like Jessica Simpson very much, because she acts very good and the other actors acts very well too.Blonde Ambition are underestimate in IMDb.I cannot understand why the movie only got 3.6/10.Blonde Ambition are also a FEEL GOOD-movie with high feeling.I can very recommended Blonde Ambition which like this sort of films!! Jessica Simpson can show feelings in a very realistic ways and have capacity to have charisma.I give the film 7.6/10!
Gordon-11 This film is about a small town girl going to New York to surprise her fiancé, only to find that her fiancé is dumping her. She stays in New York and finds big success.I am surprised by the negativity around most of the comments. It's true that "Blonde Ambition" is not Oscar material, but you should already know that before watching it.Jessica Simpson's character is cute and likable. The plot is actually not bad. It is funny and light hearted. I really enjoyed watching Katie and Ben being together. Unlike other romantic comedies, office politics get a big part of the film. And have I mentioned that Freddy is really hilarious? "Blonde Ambition" made me smile and I felt happy after watching it. I think it is a great brain off romantic comedy. The only complaint I have is the constant un-subtle product advertising, which gets annoying and out of place at times.
LEHanes72 I didn't watch this movie with any preconceived notions about how good or bad critics said it was. I certainly didn't watch it to judge the acting talents of Ms. Simpson. I enjoyed Employee of the Month and Dukes of Hazzard. I even enjoyed Wilson's last 'dud' movie, Idiocracy. And, I must say, for ninety minutes this movie too did entertain me.I like Larry Miller. I like Luke Wilson. I can't really say that I'm a fan of Jessica Simpson as an actress but I have liked movies she has been in. There are plenty of critics who say that 'pretty' women in movies cannot act, but let's face it, they aren't put into movies because they can act. They are put in them because they are 'pretty'.The story was good and the comedy worked for the most part. There were a couple of parts I didn't like; but overall the movie was very good. I recommend the movie.A lot of people who say they only watched the first ten minutes or so cannot be considered credible critics. It surprises me a little that for as bad as this movie was rated by so many; so many people did actually watch the movie. As Larry Miller stated in Necessary Roughness, 'eternal vigilance is the price of integrity.'
Chris There were a few continuity goofs beside the one listed, including the scooter mysteriously changing position in the hole before & after the kiss at the end. One minute the scooter handle's propped up behind them, the next minute it's lying down on the ground the opposite way round! On the whole, this film should be seen for what it is - a comedy, nothing more, nothing less. I found this film a bonus as I like the Wilson brothers anyway, so to get a film with Luke in & Jessica Simpson to look at...I'm happy! It was definitely worth a watch & not the worst film I've seen.
