Reviews

Matialth Good concept, poorly executed.
Robert Joyner The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
Rosie Searle It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Dana An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.

Tyler Durden The Tick is one of the few shows that are 100% made with care and can be thoroughly enjoyed. All the characters are fantastic, their development is interesting, and they play off each other in often hilarious ways. Special mention goes to The Terror. It's striking, that a light-hearted show manages to portray such a menacing villain, and still be fun! Something most "big" superhero movies don't manage to do. I craved for every scene with The Terror. I love that they don't rely too much on mindless action, but much more on telling the story. The somewhat corny special effects may be mostly cost effective, but they also fit perfectly. I saw the whole season 1 and loved it.
Elewis1195 I saw the pilot. It didn't work, then I watched the series based on some recommendations. The first episode borrowed form the Pilot, but it was much improved. Much sharper and faster paced. The Pilot - (now Episode 0), 4 out of 10. The series, so far (I'm 4 episodes in), 8 out of 10. It's worth giving a try for any tick fan. More lively than the Warburton version and much better villains. Worth a look.
OneEightNine Media Just meh. I don't know, this series isn't good enough to make you want to watch another season. The biggest problem is the dialogue, the writing. The Tick says his random catch phrases over and over again and you're ready to be done with the entire series by the end of episode three. Whereas the 2001 live action Tick series, which I watch right after watching this one, I swear the Tick has a bigger vocabulary or something because he is an idiot but the 2017 Tick makes him seem like a genius. Whatever, I am getting off topic. The writing killed this series for me. I have zero interest in watching the second season. Amazon has better get their stuff together. This is like the second or third amazon studios thing that has left me saying meh.
