Lovesusti The Worst Film Ever
XoWizIama Excellent adaptation.
Murphy Howard I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
Jenni Devyn Worth seeing just to witness how winsome it is.
Eric Stevenson I think this movie at one point had the most viewed trailer in movie history. It's since been replaced by "Avengers: Infinity War". I was really impressed by that as this movie is based on a completely original idea, right? Well, the story's pretty basic with a koala holding a singing competition. A lot of stuff from the trailer is only in the first 20 minutes. My favorite character might be Mike the mouse.I couldn't recognize Seth Macfarlane's voice at all! I'm not going to spoil it, but the way his storyline is resolved is very satisfying. The animation is great and it's a really interesting world these characters live in. I admit that some of it is clichéd and the characters probably aren't the most original. I still rooted for most of them and it's pretty realistic for a movie about talking animals. I counted 64 songs in the credits! ***
Clifton Johnson There were some genuinely entertaining moments here, but they were strung together with a plot and characters that were just too undeveloped. The end result is a movie that feels more like a series of animated comedy sketches than anything else. Towards the end, the story finally got some momentum, and I found myself wondering how this would have worked in the hands of Pixar. My answer? Better. They just needed to make some hard choices and establish a clearer protagonist. Close, but not quite.
wihry Enjoyed every second of it, the moment you look at any scene you are in, there is so much truth and beauty. Being an aspiring musician myself I can easily recognize the situations, the mindsets, the twists of action... and the model characters are so expressive and realistic to the very least detail-even if exaggerated. For the soundtrack - top of the top, the voices, as well as the playlist. With my rather skeptic approach I was not expecting such a touching show. I created an account here for the very occasion to say thank you - for the really good job.
gavin6942 In a city of humanoid animals, a hustling theater impresario's attempt to save his theater with a singing competition becomes grander than he anticipates even as its finalists' find that their lives will never be the same. You might think with a soundtrack loaded with popular songs, and a cast of voices that are some of the biggest names out there... this would be huge. And surely many people like it. The toddler who watched it with me seemed to enjoy it.But it just did not seem to often anything more than the same old thing. Unlike "Zootopia", it gives us this world of humanoid animals without really giving us any reason or logic behind the world. I would love to know why the British gangsters were represented by gorillas. What does this symbolize?
