Synopsis

Mutant X is a science fiction television series that debuted on October 6, 2001. The show was created by Avi Arad, and it centers around Mutant X, a team of "New Mutants" who possess extraordinary powers as a result of genetic engineering. The members of Mutant X were used as test subjects in a series of covert government experiments. The mission of Mutant X is to seek out and protect their fellow New Mutants. The series was filmed in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Even though the series had high ratings and was meant to be renewed for a fourth season, it was abruptly canceled in 2004 after the dismantling of Fireworks Entertainment, one of the show's production companies, ending the show on a cliffhanger.

CommentsXp Best movie ever!
Zlatica One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.
headsound The action is great, and the women are easy to look at! Half of the guest stars either did porn, or Playboy "spreads". BUT, it's like Adam is running a boarding school. The men on the team act like sex driven 16 year olds, and the women act like little 12 year old girls, dreaming about true love. If any one gets close to a guest star, all logic is out the window, and they do whatever their "true love" asks, and screw the team! This happens over and over.......ad nauseam!
Smoreni Zmaj X-Men wannabe... Marvel sold rights for X-Men to Fox and then based on X-Men made Mutant X series. And of course they were sued. If they decided to risk law suit they should have at least made show worth that sacrifice. I don't say it's unwatchable, but in endless see of amazing shows available this one is complete waste of time. First thing to annoy me was terrible music. Then there's irritating editing and atmosphere of old Power Rangers. It's better that I do not start about action scenes in slow motion. They say that story is full of holes and illogicality, but I wouldn't know as I gave up on this after first episode. I have no time and nerves to spend 66 times 45 minutes on production so lousy.4/10
MutantXJesseLexafan OK so i saw the third season only where Lexa Pierce enters. AND IT WAS AWESOME!! And after reading some of the comments i think i would love to watch the other seasons to prove them wrong. They only say that they were disappointed with the first episode because they started watching with high expectations. They expected it to be a good show like Xmen and all the other mutant and powers movie. i was just flipping through the channels and i saw the cast and i loved it. the cast is awesome. They make a great team and i think that if they didn't cancel the show that it would have gotten better. The viewers would have been able to see more about what happened to Adam Cain and also see where the Mutant X relationship where going to go and how they were all going to end up. I think this show is great and even though they stopped recording and writing scripts i think they should at least put re-runs. It's a great show and people just think that since there's mutants it would be like fantastic four or x-men and it is not.
Syl I really like John Shea and I like to know what really happened to his character. I think this show would be lost without him and they really need to get him back. I don't like getting rid of the red-headed girl. I think it was fine just the way it was. When they do this to a good show like getting rid of a wonderful talent like John Shea? They really are asking for cancellation. I remember the second season of PSI Factor, another of Alliance Atlantis productions, Matt Frewer and Nigel Bennett brought wonderful energy to that show for that season. Matt and Nigel left by third season. They brought Joanne Vannicola who lacked the spark and void left by Frewer and Bennett. Now, I am not crazy about the Mutant X show anymore. Not without John Shea and the redhead, whoever she was.
