Tedfoldol everything you have heard about this movie is true.
MoPoshy Absolutely brilliant
FuzzyTagz If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.
Celia A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
shan zaman I love this movie of Arnold. It's a movie you can watch again and again many times and still love it. So cool. Arnold is still Killing it. And also the other actors. The movie is not a huge budget and big plot but rather like a episode and is perfect in that way. I've already watched it like 10-12 times in past few months.
Per Johnsen Either if this film is made solely to make a comeback for Arnold Schwarzenegger or simply to tickle the sense of low brow humor of twelve year old boys and rob them for their allowance, it's not working, and I'm happy to know it didn't make it at the box office. And, what is a brilliant actor like Forest Whitaker doing in this film, trying to soil his career? The only reason for him and several top actors to participate in this non sense, must be to pay Arnold some kind of tribute or/and that they got payed loads. And that's mainly what this is, loads of a lot of nothing, stuffed with old "clichés", actors asked to make bad and boring lines funny, when the only result is an annoying embarrassment. I was about to give it 2, only because the "entré" of Forest Whitaker all of a sudden gave me hope, but even he blew it. If this is supposed to be Arnold's last stand, then let's hope it is.
namikazedante Okay the first few minutes is kinda okay but after that it's just 100% pure crap of the worst script and dialogue you could ever imagine. I could take a few scenes first. You know the usual police is stupid BS. But after scene after scene of just awful lines and thoughts about ... really? Anyone wants people to actually believe this crap? No I could take about 25 minutes and then I just thought to myself nope I will not sit another minute with this they call a movie. It is too bad also. Because at the beginning the movie had potential. Arnolds character had some wisdom and we had Peter Stormare as the perfect bad guy. But no just no ! Don't even bother with this movie. Go ahead and just try writing a action movie by yourself instead. I promise it will be better than this awful thing they would call a movie. My respect dropped to 0% for everyone who were involved in this movie. Do yourself a favor and just stay clear of this one.
Richard Archer I grew up in the 80's & 90s watching Arnie's films and liked all of them. It's good to see him going back to the sort of films he did well. Just enough plot to hold the action together and plenty of one-liners. I've been missing these style of popcorn movies and Last Stand is a nice breath of fresh nostalgia without the emphasis on 'deep and meaningful' that only slow the story.True he's in his mid to late 60's and past his best and the film reflects that in many ways. The old Arnie would have taken the bad guys out single handed but this time he has a team of kick-ass deputies and a screwball (Knoxville)to share the load which makes it a little more plausible.Sure the critics who criticize indifferent bad story and mediocre acting have a point but those have NEVER been a prerequisite for a Schwarzenegger action flick.
