Synopsis

A group of 20-somethings who are inextricably bound together having shared the same third-grade class. Now face to face at an impromptu reunion to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the day they met, they wonder if they'll have anything in common besides vague memories of playground kisses and underwear sightings on the monkey bars. Turns out they do. After two decades apart for most of them, some are eager to show off, some want to rekindle old crushes and others just want to satisfy their curiosity.

Reviews

Hellen I like the storyline of this show,it attract me so much
Dirtylogy It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.
Haven Kaycee It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film
Jenni Devyn Worth seeing just to witness how winsome it is.
cutie_mcpretty I fell in love with this show after the first episode I ever watched. It was aired a year after it was cancelled over here in the UK, and I'll admit, I remember seeing it advertised on E4 and thinking that it looked really stupid, and that was an incredibly bad judgement on my part and also a big fault from E4, as they had chosen to make it look more like it was slapstick comedy than the witty, sarcastic comedy it actually is.Once I decided to watch an episode, I was hooked, and I still am, a year later, because the show never gets old. I, along with many other fans of The Class, took an instant disliking to CBS once this was cancelled after only 19 episodes, but I'm gonna make the most of those 19 episodes, get every laugh out of them I can, because lets face it, it's better that it was made and lasted one series than our screens having not being blessed with it at all.As the series goes on, the laughs get more, and never have I watched a comedy that has an actual laugh out loud joke in every single episode. Of course there are some sad story lines too, and even those can bring a tear to your eye, it is that good. The cast is beyond perfect (some of my favourites being Sean Maguire, Jason Ritter and Lizzy Caplan). Comedy timing is genius and the one liners and the simple sarcasm are just so funny, the series could have knocked Friends off of its perch if it had been given a fair chance.Overall, please watch The Class, even though it's gone and, as much as it pains me to admit, probably isn't coming back, I promise you you will laugh harder than you've ever laughed before, and the show never fails to bring a smile to my face.
Foux_du_Fafa Okay, so "The Class" was never going to rank up there with the absolute classics of television. But for what it was (a light-hearted romp full of relatively well-to-do people in their late twenties and early thirties), it was something good, and had the potential to be the next "Friends". "The Class" was a way to spend a nice half-hour in a rose-tinted world, where characters such as Ethan, Kat, Richie and Lina just ask to be hugged without even saying anything. And yet despite pleasing enough ratings (from the looks of it, anyway), it gets axed. Which is a real shame, as the series was engaging enough to merit lasting around at least two or three more seasons. "The Class" gets played on E4 and/or Channel 4 in the UK, like many of the American hits do over this side of the Atlantic. If only the silly network bosses in the States allowed it to be a lasting hit...like I said, this could have been the next "Friends".
André Ribeiro After all those TV series trying to be Friends, that on came close enough. A David Crane production saved the comedy, ironically, i really hope that does not happens like "Joey". That one really get some nice cast, you know, Lizzy Caplan (the good one from "Related"), Andrea Anders (the funny one from "Joey"), and others one not that famous here in Brazil, but really nice ones. That series really make me laugh, after "Friends" and "Joey" that one i really like not exactly the type of show what i am in to, because i am a "CSI" fan, but a really good one. So, now we have to wait that interval of year end, and hope to keep going well.
dlu-3 If you have seen Friends, the writing will feel very familiar. Especially the last 3 or 4 seasons of Friends often share the same comedy setups. The show is about a group of people whose connection is that they shared the same class when they were still rather young (about 10 years old I think). Now, they're in their mid-twenties, and they meet again on a class reunion. This is where the series starts.A typical episode deals with multiple story lines at once. They're usually not connected in any way. Each story line is cut up into multiple sections, which are then shown in a mixed order. The sketches is where my problems lie with this series. As in the later seasons of Friends, it's often a rather silly setting with hard to believe situations. One of the main characters does something really stupid that's hard to believe. The situation is then heavily exaggerated, as if it wasn't silly enough. If you're into this kind of in-your-face humor, then maybe you'll like this series. For me it is a great turn-off.The reason I started watching Friends is because of the first few seasons. There are interesting and especially credible story lines, with some romance in it that makes you root for the characters. The Class has none of this. The characters are simply too forced and stereotypes are pushed too far. It's therefore not possible to relate to them and like them.At least with friends, it took several seasons before it ran out of steam and the character traits were all milked out. But in The Class, it seems it has run out of steam before it even started.
