This show came out of nowhere and grabbed my attention in the very first few minutes of the first episode. I don't want to spoil it for those who have not watched it, so i will be careful and only say that it is, simply, brilliant TV.The production is superb, the casting perfect, great script, superbly atmospheric music and lots of twists and turns. The quality of acting is outstanding. There is hardly a likable character in the whole show, but that is because the cast do such a great job of bringing the characters to life revealing their flaws.I can't wait to see what season 2 has in store for the Roy family!

I never write reviews on really anything on this site but I felt like people should know about this show (and not in a good way). Unfortunately, this show (which I weigh heavily coming from HBO and my being a fan of several of their original series and all) displays a lot of pretentiousness and 1% problems that none of us can relate to. It's reminiscent of the way Newsroom catered to a certain audience...but this show is more "in-your-face" pretentious. If I cannot relate to these "problems" these characters are facing (i.e. spending billions on buying a radio station), then what's the point here? And in addition to being overall unrelatable, in a series like this, there has to be at least one likable character and unfortunately there is not. This show tries so hard to really show us the grittiness of the 1% that it becomes almost insulting to the rest of us who aren't apart of it all.This show makes anyone who isn't making millions/billions a year make us hate those who do. So...honestly...what's the point of this show? If not to make us DESPISE the 1% more than we already do?? I'll be shocked if this is renewed for a second season. SHOCKED.

I freekin love this show great actors great black humour(well i thought so) fantastic story, incredible cringy awkward moments. Do not miss it..

It takes until episode 6 of the first season, but god, is sticking with it worthwhile. Character driven drama with the most unexpected touches of dark comedy. Phenomenal watching.I'd guarantee almost everyone giving low ratings has given up on the show by season 1 episode 5.
