Cleveronix A different way of telling a story
Kimball Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.
adpholyfield This is one of the great few shows canceled for an idiotic reason. Bring it back, we want more!! At first Chloe appears to be a complete bitch, but then you realize she has good intentions behind every topic. They are hilarious. I love it and have no idea how I never heard about it. This was a wonderful find.I have knee replacements and had had a very bad day. The people at the ER treated me like a waste of time because I didn't have insurance. I had been crying with hopelessness for help to take away my pain and figure out what is causing it. I found this show on Netflix and spite the depressing feelings i was having this show made me chuckle. Not many shows do these days. Time to get back into more shows like this one and get away from all the lame "reality" shows!
SnoopyStyle June Colburn (Dreama Walker) is a naive girl from Indiana. Her new job disappears when her firm turns out to be a scam. She joins Chloe (Krysten Ritter) as a roommate but Chloe is trying to scam her out of her rent. The two opposites grow to be friends. Then there is James Van Der Beek playing a warped fictionalized version of himself as Chloe's friend. This show is basically about 2 broad big joke characters. The first is Krysten Ritter as Chloe, the B in the title. She's a modern day grifter living off the generosity/naivety of others. She spends her day with various schemes to party and to get money. The second is James Van Der Beek. He seems to have fun playing it over the top. I love the characters. The 2 jokes go a long way, but it never becomes more much than that. It struggles pass the original concept. The group chemistry never really gels. In the end, it lasted only 2 seasons and 26 episodes.
grandmastersik This came on last week and with nothing else on and it being a lazy Sunday afternoon, I thought I'd check it out.The episode in question being the PILOT, I viewed it with an open mind, however, quickly wondered how the hell more than the one episode got made.I'm by no means a Bible-basher, but when humour hinges on the topic of date-rape, I wasn't entirely comfortable... But what's it all about?Well, there was this dumb-blonde-looking girl who lounges around eating all day, yet still has a figure to die for, and some chick who thinks that being an alcoholic is cool (who, strangely enough, also shows no physical signs of alcohol abuse/lack of sleep). There's also that bloke from Dawson's Creek (remember that trash?), who's apparently only it because he's not found anything else to work on, because oddly enough, he plays himself (type-cast!), which doesn't fit into the format the two girls have going on.To coin an internet phrase - as well as to be more accurate - he's there "for great justice" (i.e. no real reason whatsoever). So, forgetting about him (since he's basically all the filler scenes... which lack all trace of humour... in an already NOT FUNNY show), we're left with two girls you'll likely be in no hurry to see perform again any time soon, in a canned-laughter snooze of 25 minutes. To be honest, had this programme lasted any longer, I'd have turned over, earning it a 1/10, but since it didn't, I was left irritated by the writers' attempts to reprieve some morality, by telling kids: it's okay to use your friends to the point of essentially getting them date-raped, but men are not allowed to cheat on their wives!Seriously, if this is the pilot - the taster of the wit to come - I can only recommend one course of action: AVOID IT.
anne-b-cannon I actually think this is a good show, and pretty funny, except for (mainly) one thing: the girl who plays June. Not sure what it is about her, but I find her superrr annoying. The neighbor guy that looks through the window is also trying way too hard to be funny, as is the Asian neighbor girl who's obsessed w/ Chloe.Basically, the themes of the episodes are funny, and Kristen Ritter and James Van Der Beek are both awesome, but the 3 annoying characters kill it for me! I heard they just cancelled the show - just putting my 2 cents in that i think it would have done much better if the cast was changed slightly.
