Erica Derrick By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.
Ella-May O'Brien Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.
dscottw I am a fan of Alicia Silverstone and Mena Suvari and specifically glad to see Alicia's comedic timing in a drama/comedy used well Mena also is well cast and enjoy seeing them in this pretty show. Having experienced the 70's rather intimately, the comments that say the show does not reflect the era is quite true. Alicia's character having the strength ( at least at this point) of walking away is not so typical of the time, but nonetheless admired and as a TV program setting some lessons it works. Mena's character discovering her boyfriend is gay in the 70's would make her react much more dramatically. but still I am a fan so and it is a TV show. Just the writing could be better. Jennifer Bartels turns to meaningless sex for her escapes I knew women and men exactly like that back then. Overall would like to see the real affects on "Diana's Children which it seems to me has been glossed over and adjustment so far "I get now mom he is a a-h) some of that could be funny and much could be very emotional. I guess it's with the writer's oh well.
giorgiana-murariu I love shows set in that decade. I wished so badly it would be good. It's not. The acting seems fake, storyline and dialog are boring but there is one redeeming quality: Diane's character. If only the show would have her at the centre of it and develop her character and an enticing storyline around her. The actress does portray her very well, and you can actually see nuance as opposed to the flatness of the other 2 female leads. Regardless, I won't be watching anymore, which is a shame. The 5 stars are for the costumes, setting, and Diane.
jjwarfel-82278 This show is embarrassing its so bad. I finally turned it off. It wanders around a 70's theme but extremely boring. Some think their life can make a good story, but this was badly done. A real step down for Alicia Silverstone. I hope she was paid well for this dog.
ottomahlgren I thought the first episode had alot of feminist refs and I hope it will continue to explore more about how hard it really was to be a woman back then, always dependant on men, almost like a parental relationship.
