Micransix Crappy film
Onlinewsma Absolutely Brilliant!
Hattie I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.
bellino-angelo2014 First, I won't keep it a secret: I am a great Robin Williams fan and I think that this is one of his best movies of all his career. I was bowled over by the story and the colours of the paintings - very very vibrant.Robin Williams plays a man with a perfect personal life. Sadly, his two children die in an accident, and he dies in a car crash and with the help of a custodian angel (played well by Cuba Gooding jr.) travels in a long trek between Heaven and Hell through his wife's paintings, and along the way he discovers some experiences and a tracker (Max Von Sydow) that helps him in the quest for his wife (that ended in Hell after suicide). I won't spoil the end... just see the film by yourself and have a treat!Everything in this movie is great: Williams' performance is majestic beyond words, as a man that after death searches his beloved wife, and also Gooding jr and Von Sydow were great in their roles. The colours of the paintings were very vibrant (a visual eye candy for art lovers like me), and the soundtrack was also good.Overall, nearly a masterpiece and one of Robin Williams' best movies ever! And if you don't like this movie you must be dead or should go to a psychiatrist.P.S. I cried a bit in some points and you should have some hankerchief near you for the sad moments.
Peter " Sometimes when you win you lose " ." I forgive you for being so wonderful, a guy would choose Hell over Heaven just to be around you. " ." Boy I screwed up, I'm in Dog Heaven. " . Great Movie, Perfect Cast, Beautiful Music. Rest in Peace, dear Mr. Robin Williams.
johnaarfee I have watched many movies of different tastes, be it crime, drama, sci-fic, comedy, war etc the spark i wanted was not there until i watch "WHAT DREAMS MAY COME". It would give you a meaning of life and your purpose in it. It has moved me more than i was moved by "SEVEN POUNDS". The way i look at at movies as of how much it is thought provoking.I am quiet amused that why this movie is not in top 250 list. It has superb acting as well as magnificent plot, yet it has low ratings. Are people not seeing what this movie can do to them. A human being with his heart beating in his chest would only be moved by this masterpiece. If anyone does not give himself a chance to watch this movie, do yourself a favor and watch it. Honestly speaking it will reconnect you to yourself and to your family. I would say by watching it would be a rebirth of your birth. Now, stop reading my review and watch it from any source possible.
Smoreni Zmaj Amazing and original idea, beautiful cinematography, good acting, but, in my opinion, story is not developed enough. Just opening part, that prepares us for main plot, could be movie on its own. It may be to much to make series out of this, but there is certainly enough material for at least two movies. They should've developed opening part further until they end up with two parts movie, first part taking place in the world of living and second part about adventures of our main character after he dies. This way, lasting less than two hours, first part is too hasty and sketchy, putting us right into main plot unprepared, without enough background. Potential masterpiece restricted to good, but not great film.7,5/10
