Two opposing vampire factions fight for supremacy in Thailand. The ruthless Niran clan wants to feast on human blood while the benign Song Neng group wish to peacefully exist with man. American tourist and karate expert Connor (a pretty wooden, but still likable performance by Colin Egglesfield) must enlist the assistance of the Song Neng after the Niran abduct his girlfriend Amanda (a charming portrayal by the insanely foxy Meredith Monroe, whose incredible ample cleavage threatens to upstage everything throughout). Director Marty Weiss handles the cool premise in a flashy kinetic manner, relates the fun story at a constant brisk pace, stages the fierce bloody'n'brutal martial arts fights and lively action set pieces with fierce go-for-the-throat brio (a lengthy motorcycle chase rates as a definite exciting highlight), pulls off a few genuinely creepy moments, and makes the most out of the exotic location. The imaginative script by Andy Hurst and D.B. Farmer offers an inspired and energetic mix of horror and action elements. The capable acting from the mostly sturdy cast keeps the picture humming: Don Hetrakul makes for a marvelously smooth and wicked villain as the evil Niran, Stephanie Chao contributes a strong and moving turn as the soulful and melancholy Sang, Roger Yuan does well as the wise and benevolent Kiko, and Patrick Bauchau brings a winning dry wit to his colorful part as droll ace vampire slayer Raines. Geoffrey Hall's slick cinematography gives the film a cool stylish look. The moody and spirited score by Tim Jones hits the flavorsome spot. A nifty flick.

I watched this movie tonight and I do need to say that it is horrible! I expected it to be great, because you know, usually we don't have many movies about Asian vampires mixed with Asian culture; but already in the beginning it started in a bad way: the introduction of the movie seemed not to have an end! The plot is so weak and if you take the fights and the soundtrack off, you really don't have anything useful at all! The director of this film doesn't look to have some important notions about how much time to spend in introduction and flashbacks for example.( not to mention some other things)For people like me, who wants to watch a great vampire movie, I really recommend to watch ''Lost Boys'' or ''The Interview with the vampire''.

Man oh man, this was a piece of dog sh#t. I read a few reviews on here after seeing the case in the local video store, and thought to myself........ Ah this seems like a half decent movie.Vampires.Swords. Thailand.How can you go wrong? Right? No,no,no way f*cking wrong. Jesus, if only I could gouge out my eyes and not remember this film, I would be happy. The lead actor had THE whiniest, gayest voice ever.Man!It really was bad...."Amandaaaaaaaa....","I gotta save my girlfriend...." F*ck off! My buddy and I actually changed the Audio Track on the DVD to Portugese just so we didn't have to hear the guy's voice. Subtitles and all...and this IMPROVED the film. I'm serious, if your anything like me and wondered what this film was like..STOP WONDERING. I have the answer. WORST VAMPIRE MOVIE EVER! No good action, no good gore and only the smallest smattering of nudity. Just pure sh*t for 90 Mins. Don't rent this,buy it,think about it,or watch it at 3:00am. It just doesn't cut the cake......at all....in any way. F*ck this movie and watch All Anal 7: Real Deep Cover. You'd have a better time. I'm sure.

Polished performances, eye candy performance artists; exotic locale; ingenious plot points; incredible new vampire mythology; nice martial arts choreography; tight script; good editing; dynamic FX; expert direction; great date flick. Colin Egglesfield is heroic as he attempts to save his girl from vampire villain Dom Hetrakul; Hetrakul is enigmatic like Jason Scott Lee as Father Uffizi in Dracula II The Ascension / Dracula III The Legacy; Patrick Bauchau of "Kindred" (and various other vampire films) is an old favorite. Like "Legends of the Seven Golden Vampires", this movie features exciting action sequences and scary supernatural entities. Stephanie Chao and Nophand Boonyai execute their roles with affection. Enjoy!
