After a successful deployment of the RoboCop Law Enforcement unit, OCP sees its goal of urban pacification come closer and closer, but as this develops, a new narcotic known as "Nuke" invades the streets led by God-delirious leader Cane. As this menace grows, it may prove to be too much for Murphy to handle. OCP tries to replicate the success of the first unit, but ends up with failed prototypes with suicidal issues... until Dr. Faxx, a scientist straying away from OCP's path, uses Cane as the new subject for the RoboCop 2 project, a living God.

SunnyHello Nice effects though.
PiraBit if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.
Sameer Callahan It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
Yipikaye Robocop 2 is extremely underrated. Its almost as great as the original and is directed by the legendary Irvin Kershner who did Empire strikes back. This movie has some excellent action scenes including its tourde force kick ass climax. Tom Noonan is great as always as the villain and Gabriel Damon is even better as the vicious 12 year old killer turned antihero Hob. His character got criticized a lot for being a murderous child but I think its an ingenious and risky choice. He steals every scene he's in and has one of the coolest machine guns in movie history. This is a great sequel
tdrish Robocop (1987) was excellent. Plenty of action, great story, and violent as hell. In Robocop 2, we learn early on that this sequel just did not need to be made. Not only does it steer way of course of what made Robocop whole, this movie just goes all over the place. Detroit has fallen to disaster, cops are on strike, and a new drug called "nuke" has hit the streets. As if that's not enough, violence has erupted out of control, corruption is in full blast at OCP, and a female doctor is trying to create a version of Robocop that makes Robocop look like a Disney character. Robocop 2 seems to outdo its predecesser, however, it's at Robocops expense. For example, Robocop finds himself haven to be reprogrammed after being taken apart, and meanwhile, he still holds on to a life that is no longer his ( he is still haunted by memoirs of his old family.) He is also in the heart of decay, and finds himself going head to head against his arch enemy, Robocop 2. Cain is the villain, played by the very talented Tom Noonan ( he plays a very bad guy, but you'll love the performance.) And if you thought Robocop was violent, hold on to your helmet, because this movie shocks me that it did not get the NC17 rating. Some things that I liked and disliked about Robocop 2, and we'll get the likes out of the way first: I liked that Peter Weller and Nancy Allen got to reprise their roles, they did a great job and worked very well in the original Robocop together. I liked the way Robocop 2's style was created. ( Example: Robocop (1987) had an identifiable 80's feel to it all, while Robocop 2 strategically had a 90's feel to it, despite these films only being three years apart. That's incredible!) More then anything, I liked that both films were NOT boring. I guarantee you did not feel the time go by once watching the original Robocop, and you won't feel the time go by watching this movie, either. Now, for the bad side! Here's what I disliked: I did not like that Paul Verhoeven did not return to direct. Ivan did an stellar job directing Robocop 2, and perhaps he may have even been a better director then Paul, however, there's just little things I noticed that I thought could have been done better ( and with Robocop fresh in Pauls mind, there's no doubt he could have added some better touches to it). I disliked the way Robocop had a bluish tint to his armor, while as in the original Robocop, it looked more like steel. That's the way it's SUPPOSED to be! And I cannot stress this enough, I did not like the way Robocop 2 was unnecessarily violent. There's a graphic scene, for example, where the camera pans in on the inside of a mans skull cover after it has been removed, now there was no reason to have that. No reason at all! It appears that Robocop 2 deliberately tries to helm a much more violent film then it's predecesser, rather then concentrate on being a great movie, which drags the rating down. Unnecessary twists and turns drag the rating down a little further, scoring Robocop 2 a 5 out of possible 10 stars. Great work, boys and girls. I just felt it could have been a little better.
Rocketeer_Raccoon I've only remember seeing bits of this film when I was younger but I don't remember seeing this film in it's entirety and now that I have seen it in full, I think it's a OK film, it's not too bad of a sequel. The action and the special effects actually were quite good, the movie made good use of mainly animatronics and stop motion techniques which were common use for the time period this came out.Like any action film it has lots of violence, gun shooting and explosions. Although it's perhaps not as memorable as the first film but it does try to be as good I guess. Not too bad I say.
punishmentpark After my initial disappointment that Anne (Nancy Allen) didn't become Robobabe straight away, since she was so severely shot up at the end of part one, I decided to hope for that to happen later on (no, it didn't) and move on. So, then, 'Robocop 2' seemed to become a lesser version of its predecessor; less impressive villains, less impressive action and a lot of bad one-liners from Robocop himself (not that part one had such great one-liners - not at all, really). But things stayed interesting here and there, and Tom Noonan was a pretty good choice as the new main baddie. And then came more and more terrific ideas: about the cops taking over the city with a cunning financial plan, about a kid who thinks he is the next Scarface, about Robocop (the original) descending into an identity crisis by an overload of rules, about a load of baseball kids (led by their coach!) looting a store, about Dr. Faxx exacting a devious plan to use villains for cops and keeping them in control through drugs, about a fresh young black mayor who decides to get his money from anyone just to stay in power... etc., etc. (it gets a little too obvious in the end with the Nazi flag and the Gestapo outfits, though, ha ha). Yes, 'Robocop 2' has a lot to offer, if you'll keep in mind that it's a sort of exploitation flick with a big budget (looks like it - I haven't checked) - and a very creative one.The creative cherry on top here is the loads of stop-motion scenes with Robocop 1 fighting Robocop 2, which actually don't come in until a lot later. There's some short bits of other Robocop stop-motion bits earlier on, which are good fun as well. It's hard to decide if this one is better or just as good as the first one, but both get a big 7 out of 10 for now.
