SanEat A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."
AshUnow This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
Verity Robins Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.
Scarlet The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
GL84 When a deranged activist releases a group of pythons from a testing lab into the Florida everglades, their rampage across the resident gator population forces a wildlife officer to inject steroids into the creatures to fight back, inadvertently starting a war with the now monstrous species in the area.On the whole this one wasn't all that bad and had a lot to like. As is always the case, the action here is really enjoyable and based off the quicker encounters here, which includes large portions of this one. The early scenes here are mostly centered around the sneak-attacks by the snakes against the hunting party out in the swamp which is quite fun as they pop up to launch attacks or feature scenes of the them in town defending their eggs which causes this one to really embrace the natural tactic of coiling around a victim in order to kill by suffocation. Likewise, the crocodiles get some good time too where they chase down the assistants in the swamps, the ambush on the scientists and as well the individual encounters here there's the fun of their battles against each other in the swamps as there's a lot to like with all the fun brawling and fighting around in the area which allows for some fine and highly cheesy action. That kind of cheesy action here is furthered by the highly cheesy and action-packed sequence of the creatures overrunning the city in a fine amount of city destruction that certainly allows for quite the fun time throughout here as this one takes on the destruction in a fiery spectacle as both creatures are given a lot to work with all throughout this, the repelling attempts aren't that bad and there's enough attacks on the group trying to stop them that there's a lot of frantic action brought into the mix. Further action scenes, from their attack on the dinner party which also manages to feature an uproariously cheesy cat-fight made all the more fun for who's providing it as well as the explosive finale at the quarry keep this going along nicely as well, and along with some rather creative methods for the creatures' back-story makes for enough positives to hold out over the few minor flaws here. Among the bigger issues here is the completely confusing storyline here that glosses over way too many plot-points, including a major one about why she remained unaccountable for the federal law about introducing non-native species in a foreign environment which she continually admits to throughout the film or the wildlife officer feeding crocodiles with steroids yet nothing is brought about the illegal activities carried out, and then brought back into focus in a very clumsy way. As well, it's to be expected here that the CGI is just plain utterly atrocious and worse off here that there's tow creatures that have to deal with thee lousy effects in their construction which runs throughout here and contains all the usual manners of faulty work throughout. These issues are all that hold this one down.Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Violence and Language.
ComedyFan2010 There are bad movies and there are also movies that are so bad that they are good. This is one of them. These B-movies are to me a different genre and I treat it as such. My rating is not the same if it was supposed to be a high quality sci fi. A big chunk of the points comes from the entertainment it gave me. What makes movie qualify for this kind of treatment in my eyes is if they don't take themselves too seriously. If they tried to pretend to be some serious movie I would have to rate it by such standards. The plot of the movie is very simple. There isn't much logic behind it and I didn't bother with the inconsistencies. One thing I give thumbs up for though is that this movie did neither animal rights activists nor the park rangers the bad or good guys, these is something even the supposed high quality movies fail at often. The movie is filled with pop stars from the 80's. Debbie and Tiffany who are the main characters of the movie and Micky Dolenz. I haven't really heard from them before and didn't even get that "monkey" joke at first. But I am sure that people who were their fans back in the days must have enjoyed this movie even more than I did.The one who was a star to me in this movie was A Martinez. I recognized him from the soap opera "Santa Barbara" that I used to love as a child. And I was very impressed with his acting. It was very fitting to the genre. By that I am not trying to say that he was very bad. He just had a perfect screen presence and timing for all reactions and the atmosphere of the movie. I also really liked the acting of Kathryn Joosten. Her career is pretty amazing considering especially that it's highlight came pretty much towards the end of her life in Desperate Housewives. She did a great job as Angie in this movie and was very funny. The main characters aren't such professional actors as the ones I have mentioned, but they weren't too bad. Good enough for a B movie. Terry's anger moments were hilarious in this movie. And their fight scene is definitely one of the highlights in the movie, even for someone like me who never was their fan in the 80's or saw their pop star "rivalry" The visual effects were of course not very good. But I won't blame it on the crew, after all it is not such a high budget movie to do it James Cameron style. And for the most the scenery was very beautiful and I loved the dramatic effects that filled up the movie.
David Harris I don't get all the bad reviews for this movie... I personally loved it! A moving story about helping nature to try to save the earth from human hands. Some scientists face an arrogant law defender with the intention to save endangered specimens in an intense survival thriller marked by high speed action and sharp-as-blade dialogs. However, Nature proves itself unstoppable, even when humans try to do what's right and use most honest and intelligent basis for their decisions.A giant python and a mastodontic crocodile cross humanity's way to salvation. manunderyourbed I just wanted to say I had an odd attraction to the blond in this flick throughout the movie's entirety - as if I knew her some how from another life which I was pretty sure at the time; I didn't. Afterwards, I found out she was Debbie Gibson! How about that? It must have been the lips. And here is some required filler so I can post my thoughts. The movie started out well like most Scifi works but somewhere in here, quality control seemed to get thrown out the window - in regard to plot, storyline and script. It's as if the producer had really really deep pockets or had some odd infatuation with the cast leading the movie to stretch a lot further than it ever should have been allowed to.
