CommentsXp Best movie ever!
Curapedi I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.
Kien Navarro Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.
Logan By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.
AileenTan12 "Fever Pitch" is such a sweet and hilarious movie! I really liked it. It wasn't like most romantic comedies that are so cliché and cheesy. This is one of those few that will really make you laugh out loud (mostly thanks to Jimmy Fallon). The movie also made me more cautious of my actions, because I'm scared that I might end up being an overly attached fan, like Ben.Somehow, I found this funnier than Jimmy Fallon's other movie, "Taxi", and as usual, Drew Barrymore nailed her role, and Ben's friends also did a good job and were certainly very entertaining. This movie is one of those feel- good movies, and I give it an 8 out of 10.
Nick Damian Drew was the only good thing going for this film. Her male lead has no appeal - no life, no zing, no sex, no rough...nothing. He is lifeless on screen and every scene with him in it is immediately killed. There are actors I don't like simply because of the characters they play or how they play them...but even though I don't like them, the actors bring life to their roles (Anthony Hopkins, Brad Pitt).Jimmy Fallon is dead in terms of expression. His eyes, his movements...everything is just wrong. How Drew could be in love with this guy is beyond me...how his mother can love him is beyond me.The story is week, the take-outs on the DVD is just boring and I should have put something else in the tray and hit play. That aside, I think that Drew is great - as always. Just, this movie - as in Lucky You, she has little to work with and little to offer her role.I love ya Drew...but quit making crappy movies.
pau_mo Fever Pitch is a typical romantic comedy movie but I liked it very much. This movie "shows what obsessions or deep passions can do to a relationship when both partners don't share the same thing or at least at the same level". It is very entertaining , cute, sweet, and has some funny moments. There isn't anything really special about this film.. In my opinion, it is a movie to see with your girlfriend or boyfriend but no with friends because it is more romantic than funny, but it is a good option to spend a good time!. The main characters are Jimmy Fallon and Drew Barrymore, two brilliant actors.
Christian Mrasek I love and admire the Farrelly brothers! How come I only got to see this great movie 3 years after it's release? It made me laugh, it made me cry and it reeeaally warmed my heart. Big Time. It's hard to describe in my rotten English - but I have to try anyway:The cast is excellent throughout - from the lead- to the supporting roles, the acting is great, the dialogs are great and the film is perfectly directed and edited.I think that the Farrelly brothers movies are often underestimated - they are not light comedies - they're deeeeeep! They talk about what life is all about (I won't tell YOU!).In my case, this movie affirmed to me what relationships are all about:If you love somebody: Set them free, let them be - try to share the passion and the pain and always be true to each other.I'm not a sports-hater, but definitely a sports ignorant. But in this movie - the vibes get you. I could smell the atmosphere of Baseball. Finally, this movie explained to me what being a sports-fan can mean to you and what cool fan-families there must be out there. Thanks so much, Pete & Bob!P.S.: If you haven't seen it - please check out KINGPIN!
