Kattiera Nana I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
Listonixio Fresh and Exciting
Kien Navarro Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.
Marva It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,
mistoppi I chose to watch this movie because the plot seemed interesting enough, but mainly I even learned about this movie because Clifton Collins Jr. is in this movie.Sunshine Cleaning is very simple yet delicate and vulnerable. It's exactly what drama movies should be like, when they are at their finest without trying too much. It's a slice of life, and while it moves you, it also makes you feel good, it makes you smile. The emotional side of the characters is very easy to relate to. There was a scene where another person told the main character Rose she was nothing, and while I of course share that scene with no basis whatsoever, it was weirdly powerful in the movie. While I usually don't get bothered by this kind of exchanges, this felt very real and when I paused the movie to reply to a text I felt like someone had said something mean to me, that I had read that somewhere, that it actually was about me. The cast of the movie is incredibly talented. Mostly I admire the talent of Amy Adams and Emily Blunt both show emotion in incredible well and believably for different characters with different personalities. Both are great actresses,While the plot wasn't exactly what I thought, and I didn't like all the plot points and how certain things ended up, Sunshine Cleaning is still a very nice and emotional drama.
Eruditass Characters: 2 Adams, Blunt, and Arkin deliver good performances, allowing me to connect and care about what happensScreenplay: 1.5The plot is one the viewer has seen countless times, but it is cleaned up with a fresh citrus scent of decaying bodies. Cinematography: 1.5 Emotional:3.0 In contrast to the quirky happy title, I was pleasantly surprised with the relatable characters and somber yet positive tone of the film.Overall: 2.0
Chris L Sunshine Cleaning develops a "slice of life" script typical of the indie scene, quite enjoyable, carried by a very good cast with an Adam-Blunt duo that works and an always extra energized Alan Arkin. As for the direction, pretty simple, it didn't fall into the cliché of the indie scene which is always good to point out.Despite everything, the movie seems to lack ambition: the plot is rather classic and the stakes are not enough defined and developed to expect convincing the viewer entirely. The characters aren't totally exploited either such as Joe (the father) or Oscar (the son). The ending is particularly abrupt and expeditious as if the writer didn't know where to go even though a lot of questions are left unanswered.
SaeeD Zafarany Honestly, I saw this one just because Amy Adams and now, I can swear she was good as always. The others too. All of them acted good and controlled. But believe me, a real film, needs something more than acting and directing. A real film have to have a good message. A real life in it and a purpose. When you see this movie through the window of your own life, you could probably say I am blessed, I am happy, or maybe on the other side, I am sad, I am poor and I am a looser! You know this film wants you to make your life better. The story, shows you the efforts that someone, in a very honorable way does to make her life better. Then, at the moment, you have the strength to do something like that. You may even make a decision right then. But, in the film, we see everything so screwed out and all the efforts ends bad. Actually, plot is trying to tell you that anybody in the world can make its life better, until sometime it is good. But at some point, everything is screwed, film took its message back and it's really bad. Then again, until the ending, you think "Why should I make an effort when everything is against me?" and like you know life is empty, you have the strength for getting yourself killed! Suicide! The worst thing ever! The fact that I hate so much. What is that film? Is it worked out whit its message or at some point gets totally against itself and encourages you to do the by-yourself-stuff? I'm sorry but I can't call such film a "good" or "wort watching" one, even though I'm a huge fan of Amy Adams. When you see it through the window of characters lives, this time it sucks! You can't imagine how unbelievable is this film. I mean, Rose is sleeping with the police guy, and have a bastard boy, and her mother had committed suicide and now she wants a honorable and valid way of life? Isn't it a big contrast? Yes it is. How can I believe such a antithetic character? And when you think about it, you can not go through story and this time it doesn't work out for you.By the way, there is some particular scenes that you can not understand. What is advantage of boys radio talking scene? What is the advantage of shrimp selling dad scene? What is the advantage of Winston? What is the advantage of dead mother? OH ... I know this one! "You just put your audience in a bad mood to think about that death and awaits him for a while for a conclusion!" But it doesn't work out as well.I cant offer this film, it is not a black comedy, not a melodrama or something like that. It's a game of scenes that sometime make you laugh, sometime make you think, and sometime make you cry ... but all these are faked and at the end, you don't know why? I can only recommend it to you, if you are a huge fan of Amy Adams or Emily Blunt.
