Scanialara You won't be disappointed!
TrueHello Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
Bea Swanson This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.
Taha Avalos The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
brian-119-173475 This show started strong, it really did, but by episode 4 the writers pretty much gave up and the network followed. It was almost like they had a really great script or a really great writer for the pilot but for whatever reason they dropped the ball or got lazy writing episode 4-10. After episode 3 they had no idea what to do next. I can only remember one other show that the network dropped a few episodes into the series and it was 666 Park Avenue. Wow was I mad about that.
dollyce This show had absolutely nowhere to go except to Hades where the Ripper came from. I hated the bad guy. And the good guy was weak and ineffectual. I don't know which of the two main male characters were the most infuriating. It's very depressing show. It gives the viewer nothing to hope for, or cheer for. Except CANCELLATION.
steve_r-1 I actually quite like this program- it's entertaining enough, the acting is surprisingly good and the premise isn't bad (the movie is excellent). There is some massive flaws though H.G and the Ripper have both adapted to the twenty first century as if they've only jumped 5-10 years not 129!!!! In the first episode John went to the pawn shop as if he'd been at one many times before and seemed to already know what his pawn was worth in the 21st century. They had no problems with mobile phones, laptops etc and worst of all recognised round security cameras that were designed to look like lights!! Hmmm is all this stuff standard in 1888?? The guys also seem a little too clean cut for 19th century men looking like they've just finished surfing at the beach. If you want to turn off your brain and not think too much about these things then you'll enjoy yourself otherwise it'll set your OCD into overdrive oh and did I mention that the woman who plays Jane just happens to be the most gorgeous woman on TV?? No?? Well she is!!!
dm3083 Tell me if I am wrong, but in Episode 4, someone mentions world war II, HG cries "there was another one"Did I miss some one telling him about WWI? In the time HG Wells used his time machine to leave London WWI was called.............wait for it...........................it wasn't called anything it hadn't happened. It was still at least 26 years in the future, so he couldn't know about it.Why at least 26 years? In the premier double episode we see the ripper kill a woman. The last Ripper murder happened on April 3, 1888 and they used the time machine soon after. WWI started on July 28 1914. So it is at least 26 years before WWI started and another 4 years before it was first called The World War by anyone.
