Dotbankey A lot of fun.
Livestonth I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible
Invaderbank The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.
Aubrey Hackett While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.
Joe Territo At first glance, 'The Rebels' is a rehash of the old 'First and Ten" show from HBO. But so what? Hollywood has been, and still does, produce movies that are remakes. A lot of us don't even realize that they are remakes. And not surprisingly, or maybe it is, these revisits have done very well at the box office historically. Now if it works for the movies, why can't it work for television? 'The Rebels' proves it can. I loved this episode. It was well written, well directed and well cast. I have a minor issue with the character of the owner's son, Chris. His character is pretty flat. You could take any thirteen year old kid and stick them in the role. The creators did an outstanding job fleshing out the rest of the characters. There is only so much character development you can accomplish in one, short episode. They put their efforts in the right places. The most important things are that the show is entertaining and funny. This is a very well done show and deserves a look.
marioskra After watching the Pilot I have to say the writers did a good job incorporating the wackiness without going over the top like they do in Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The characters are also not overly unbelievable like in Brooklyn Nine-Nine which are totally over the top at times. I am pleased when I don't have to face-palm myself at scenes like when they use corny idiotic used up jokes in other comedy shows. There are a lot of cliché moments, but it is a cliché story so that is to be expected. I still found it very entertaining and hope it gets picked up for more episodes. All in all very well written for such an cliché story.
dzeko1011 Looks like I may have finally found a filler to the Blue Mountain State shaped hole in my heart. After watching this episode on amazon prime I wished for more and am sad that my free trail will most probably be over before this show has more episodes released (and considering how great the pilot was, it probably will). I loved seeing familiar faces (sorry that I don't know their real names) including, Thad Castle from Blue Mountain State, Tavon from The Shield and many others. I love the football theme with the classic rebuilding a terrible team to greatness story. I can't wait for more from this show and might even continue my amazon prime subscription solely to watch more!!
josta1 One thing that kept coming up while I and a few friends were watching The Rebels was, why is this only a 30 minutes show? We want more!! I wish it had been a full hour.I would give this is an 9 out of 10...It started out on the WTF side but once it got about 5 minutes in it pulled me in, and just as you start to get into it, it's over!!! It reminded me of a combo of Weeds, Necessary Roughness, and North Dallas Forty... I love the fact that the FOX football show commentators were in this and did a flawless job... I really hope Amazon pick this up!
