EP1 McKenna's Wonder Sep 15, 1994

Brick McKenna returns home from the Racing circuit two years after the death of his older brother Guy. Trying to make amends with his father, Jack, Brick volunteers to take out a tour when Jack is injured. Jack agrees, but later decides to take the tour himself. An accident happens on the tour and Brick must rescue his father, putting himself in danger.

Brick comes up with a plan for a new rafting promotion, but the idea is stolen by an old girlfriend's brother. Brick tries to win the girlfriend back. Her brother gets into trouble while white water rafting and Jack & Brick come to the rescue.

Synopsis

McKenna was a short-lived TV series that aired on ABC during the 1994–1995 season. It starred Chad Everett and Jennifer Love Hewitt. The series revolved around Brick McKenna, who returned to Oregon to take over his brother's business, McKenna Outfitters, after his death. He runs the business with his brother's widow, Leigh, and his father, Jack. His sister, Cassidy, and his niece and nephew, Rose and Harry, help out.

Interestingly, the show featured a young Jennifer Love Hewitt right before she landed a role on Party of Five where she went on to garner plenty of attention.McKenna - which only lasted a few episodes - unfortunately never figured out what kind of show it wanted to be. It seemed part Dawson's Creek and part Fall Guy... never really appealing to either type of audience.The scenery, however, was spectacular. Set in Bend, Oregon, the show's main star - after the as yet undiscovered Hewitt - was clearly the background scenery. The area has played host to several movies over the years, but none that captured the natural beauty of the area like McKenna.
