VeteranLight I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.
Matialth Good concept, poorly executed.
CrawlerChunky In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
Zlatica One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.
lindugh 7 1/2 star should mean this is a pretty darn good series. It was not for me. There were crimes within crimes with no "wow" at the end. The lead actress was so annoying. Stomping around in that huge jacket with those skinny legs drove me crazy. The few times she was out of the jacket, her tops were loose and flowy. Were the producers hiding a pregnancy, beer belly... WHAT? Between her duck lips, stomping boots and swilling beer, it was a challenge for me to focus on the story and lackluster plot. Aside from Anna Friel, the remaining actors did a great job with what they had to work with. Friel just didn't cut it for me at all. I'll skip Season 2.
amatasuken I've only seen the second season, but it seems like the general consensus is the first season leagues better than the second. While the second season IS entertaining and strangely addicting to watch, I slowly realized with each episode that the story was slowly crumbling and falling apart, kind of like burning firewood. The ridiculous coincidences were one thing (you see this A LOT in crime shows), but the plot holes and certain subplots falling apart are what really frustrated me. The one that I still can't go over is how Gail, the young nurse taking care of who's ultimately the killer's brother and first victim, suddenly vanishes. The last time we see her, she's approached by Becky, the girlfriend of Marcella's ex-husband, who coincidentally works there. The girlfriend asks to speak to Gail, and a later scene shows her phone on the ground with her nowhere to be seen. So with that in mind, you'd THINK that it was Becky who made Gail disappear, but surprise surprise, apparently she didn't, with no explanation. That's just a single incident in this show out of many. By the time I got to the ridiculous, last 20 minutes of the season finale, I wasn't even surprised anymore by the nonsense of the show. So there I sat at the end of it, realizing I binge-watched 8 hours of a show over 2 days, only to realize I wasted my time. A 4/10 might seem generous, but at least I was entertained and not exactly bored to death.
domiflichi Mystery, suspense, action, and...Marcella. They better not cancel it!
gauravgupta-455-477960 I think the creator hit the Writer's Block when thinking of Season-2. They have completely lost the plot and left matters hanging. They lead the viewer on a wild goose chase and end up with a totally convoluted and unpredictable as well as unrelated end. I was really looking forward to something interesting but ended up totally frustratingly disappointed.
