momina-k i think this show is absolutely excellent i love it and the way they have put it together this is all about a girl who winds a singing contest and suddenly she is like the next big thing and its all about how her life just changes then she has a crush on her producer and the second season is quiet different as she starts off dating Jamie her used to be best friend then she breaks up with him and goes out with the lead guitarist of her backing band Spiderman but they break up as well as Jude is thinking about tommy too much her producer and they two don't really get along very much and well no one knows if they really will get together yet as we are all waiting for season 3 and we want to know what happens with well lots of things as season2 has left lots of loose ends that we want picked up

mcr_lover1996 This show is one of the best shows I've seen in my life.All of her songs are completely wonderful. She is really talented and she should be making an album of her own that doesn't involve Instant Star. Yes the show is great but she should be actually heard of by all people instead of just some. And she is a great actress. What I can't believe is that the second season is almost over. I mean yes the first season was short, but they don't need to make every season that short. What I'm wondering is when is the third season? But what I'm really wanting to find out is if Tommy and Jude start dating. And I really hope he doesn't go back to Sadie, that girl is really annoying.

Lynn I've read a few comments on this board from people who think this show is unrealistic and has too much sexual content. I've got only one question: What show are YOU watching?? In an age of highly unrealistic, contrived, overly-sexed "reality" shows, Instant Star is a breath of fresh air. As much as I love Degrassi: The Next Generation, I love this show even more, as the drama in the show is done for a reason. Not just the usual "It's a teen show, let's throw in every teen stereotype possible" drabble, but each situation has a purpose. Jude Harrison is struggling to to make a name for herself amid all the craziness that comes with the music business, and with being a teen-ager, dealing with all the challenges that come with life and love. MU As far as the sex...what sex? Jude doesn't even get to make out with anyone on the show. Sure, there's some kissing between the teen characters, but that's as far as it goes. The "worst" scenes happen between the adults on the show, and even those are tame in comparison to what's on T.V. today. I've seen racier commercials. Whoever thinks there's too much sex on this show must've sat on their remote control & switched to BET Uncut or MTV After Hours by mistake. I'm 32, and the proud parent of an 8-year-old, and I've no problem at all letting my son watch this show. It's an over-all portrait of a young girl struggling to hold her own in a world she's not quite ready for, and the challenges she faces trying to find her own way and stay true to herself. A parent could do MUCH worse letting their child watch something else on Nog. Like, for instance, the horrible commercials for that new Jessie Mc Carthy show. Those commercials have more smut in them than the entire 2 seasons of Instant Star put together.

Stalker74 I am kind of amazed that every time I visit this board regarding Instant Star, that anyone who has criticized this TV show has had their opinion deleted. Apparently someone in IMDb bought stock on this show. I have watched it a couple of times, and I find it highly annoying. It is not very creative, it is full of stereotypes, and it does not provide any positive role models for teenagers.Instant Star is more along the lines of a Teen Exploitation television show. Lots of relationship issues get explored, and that seems to be what the producers hope will sell the show to teens. Instant Star is as shallow as the shows interns who keep posting rave reviews. No doubt this review will be deleted soon too.
