Linbeymusol Wonderful character development!
Fairaher The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
Voxitype Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.
Lucia Ayala It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.
Shopaholic35 Drop Dead Diva is truly a very entertaining show. It's kinda campy yet emotionally deep. All the characters are fun but a little kooky and completely endearing. It's what draws you into the show and keeps you hooked. Thankfully the show continued on for a few more seasons so it didn't end on a cliffhanger. I just don't think I would have been able to cope.Aside from the main plot line the themes/idea in each episode are interesting and a lot of the time outrageous. There is a strong legal influence but it feels like fake lawyering which suits the show to a tee. It stops it from feeling too heavy. That being said, Drop Dead Diva plays heavily on your emotions. There is always a general tone of heartbreak. All the romantic relationships can be slightly draining and they pull you in two different ways. Every episode is like a mini romantic comedy drama. Your emotions are taken through the ringer yet you can't help but come back for more. No matter what; it's still a great show.
Kingston Hawke I sat in on the second half of an episode, and then watched the beginning of the next... that's all I could take. This show is that bad!The core plot makes no sense. If the skinny-now-fat girl can't remember the girl's past that she's in, then how can she get by being a lawyer at all? If she can, then why is she such an incompetent lawyer (that always wins in the ending anyway, because after all it's a show)? The dialogue is cheesy and predictable. And the court scenes don't resemble court in any way shape or form. The timeline doesn't even fit, or are the writer's unaware that you don't pick up a case on tuesday and then go to trial a week later? And what's worse about this show is that it's trying way too hard to push some moral message about fat people, like being unhealthy is something positive. Smart play I guess targeting fat people I guess since there are so many of them in this country.
noe_farina Slightly Addictive! I have enjoyed the show's Second season while a short stay in the U.S, so now that Netflix is available in South America I have been watching back to back episodes of the show and I'm enjoying each episode thoroughly. I am so Glad to find the show is still on! and I can not wait to follow it closely. Brooke Elliott is impeccable as Jane/Deb. Funny, light hearted, with a pinch of sarcasm. She's amazing in it! She sure shows to anyone who can see that even if she doesn't wear the fashion forward standard size, she is an incredible woman, with a great personality, a successful career and let me be honest here she is also BEAUTIFUL!. and Fred ? Love him, he's the kind of guy that makes you say things like 'he's my brother from another mother'and seriously, who could have played Teri as good as Margaret Cho does? NO ONE!. Honestly they have done a great job finding the perfect cast, and so far I love all the characters, I even like Kate Levering as the bigheaded Kim (which by the way is really well played!). The writing is light and delightful, specially for this being set at a law firm. I am not a lawyer, and I am not American, so the legal portion is also helpful to learn how things work there. Although I can not tell when it is all fairplayed or not. But for what is worht it I'm tired of shows that starts as comedy and end up being drama, drama, DRAMA! Watching the show is the perfect way to end a long day of work. After all we have enough DRAMA living our own lives.Good Luck for this new season, I'm thrilled to see what you come up with! keep up the good work.
pegntim We watch this regularly and enjoy the actors. Given the fact that the show purports to be set at a law firm, though, you'd think that they would at least try to get SOMETHING about the law right. NOTHING in this show even approaches legal reality. I'm willing to cut shows some slack, but honestly--every show includes something that would get several people disbarred and misstates several aspects of the law. Tonight: three strikes=three violent crimes, not check bouncing. You can't get medical records like that; and it's a federal crime to let your boyfriend look at them, even if you get them. Defending a client who is on trial for robbing you? With all those producers, you'd think they could at least think about someone -- a legal secretary?--who could save them from some of the more outrageous errors. But they get some judges right.
