BelSports This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

FMinParis Very disappointing. Gets sillier and sillier each week and the young dancers are awfully annoying. I really had high hopes for the show because I loved Sutton Foster in "Thoroughly Modern Millie" and "Anything Goes" and I love dancing. But I hate when things start to get stupid and they're getting very stupid. Sutton's character is a mature woman but she acts like anything but. The character of the mother is from another planet. There is no real interesting conversation and after awhile I couldn't care less about what happens to them. Every time the kids come on I'm ready to bolt. To hear them kvetch and complain like five year olds is not pleasant. A show can be funny and still have some maturity in it. Add a zillion commercials every five minutes and who needs it? I finally just turned it off and took it off the schedule to watch or record.

Lethe Okay, they've taken everything annoying about Gilmore Girls and repackaged it. There's the annoying fast-talking babble that goes nowhere. There's the mindless (and wordless) ditty- humming in the background (la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la, SHUT UP ALREADY). The music track is the same; in fact it sounds like they took the original track from GG and just pasted it in. They've got a Lorelei Gilmore (aka Michelle Simms - and the actress looks as much as she possibly could look like Lauren Graham without actually being Lauren Graham). There've got an Emily Gilmore (aka Fanny Flowers. She actually WAS Emily Gilmore). They've even got a composite Rory (aka the Ballet Girls). A lot of the peripheral characters match up to characters in GG, too. At first I thought the guy who ran the bar in town was going to be 'Luke', but then his hippie wife came out from the kitchen and I recognized Luke's sister and brother in law. I guess you CAN go home again. At least they can. At least they think they can. What do you all think? Is this rehash working? Or should we all just go watch the original again?

mzaiontz-934-881929 This is my first IMDb review, and well worth it, because after only watching the first episode, I have to say I love this show! It actually kind of inspired me to wanna take ballet and dance classes. I've watched the pilot episode three times now before the second episode aired. It's that good! Sutton Foster and Kelly Bishop have great chemistry, I have to say, Sutton Foster, who is normally a HUGE two time Tony Award winner, makes a great TV debut with a very strong character, and after watching the pilot episode three times I notice and catch more good parts in it. The pilot has a lot of good one liners! It's very funny. And the pilot has a shocking twist that might bring this series to a different but interesting place, I will still watch it. A lot of people are comparing this show to Gilmore Girls because the woman who created Gilmore Girls created this show, as well as Kelly Bishop playing a mother. I've only seen Gilmore Girls a few times, I didn't really get into it, but I have to say I'm into this show! I cant wait for more episodes! I hope ABC Family keeps this show on the air for a long time! My one complaint is to ABC Family, whose cable company is only Direct TV. I think more people would be able to watch this show if you would put it on a normal cable channel. I have to watch Bunheads online, so that might affect your ratings sadly. That is all.

rjheckma With Amy Palladino and Kelly Bishop at the helm, you have a good chance that your ship is going in the right direction. Bring on the talented Sutton Foster and sail away. While the beginning had me concerned that Sutton was just another Lorelei in Broadway clothing, by the end of the pilot she sets her own character.......and does she ever. The Amy Palladino clever dialog and oblique references are still there.(Those that endeared me to Gilmore Girls which was the best comedy of the '00's). With the surprise ending of the pilot, one can only guess where the plot lines are going next, but I can't wait. Fresh and entertaining and a MUST alternative the the Bachelor and Bachelorette. Bet Lauren Graham is glued to her TV set.
