Evengyny Thanks for the memories!
ThrillMessage There are better movies of two hours length. I loved the actress'performance.
Arianna Moses Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.
Bob This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
patboldt Every once in a while, somebody asks that tired old question, "Can a sequel be as good or better than the original." Somebody either says, 1.) No it cannot, 2.) Yes it can, but it's rare, 3.) Of course, sequels exist to expand on original stories. Batman Beyond manages to be one of the rare examples of a sequel being as good as the original. Not better, it's not better than BTAS as a whole, though there are moments that could be deemed as better. However, it manages to be a really enjoyable cartoon. Some have suggested that it's more like Spiderman since it focuses on a teenage lead, and if you're a huge fan of teenage dramas, you'd probably love this show. But don't be fooled, it's still a Batman cartoon, as unlike Spiderman, this series is willing to get really dark at times or even really introspective. As for the story, Bruce Wayne/Batman has retired due to his old age and no longer fights crime. However, Terry McGinnis, a rogue youth with a gray moral view, takes up the title of Batman when his father is murdered. He learns the values of being a hero while finding a balance between his human life and superhero responsibilities. Overall, this series is great and is quite enjoyable, and a lot better than it has any right to be. Bruce Wayne may be the Batman, but Terry McGinnis is Batman Beyond.
saxonsky000 The first season opened with with new-age jokers and a focus on our hero, Terry McGinnis, dismantling government corruption. The characters were engaging and interesting, and each episode is packed with fun action sequences. I couldn't get enough of this show after watching the first few episodes, I finished the entire series in a matter of 3 days. That said, the following seasons, 2 and 3, did not live up to the events that were set up in the first season. The episodes focused more on Terry's life in high school, and the villains were also more teen based. That didn't make the series bad, but it did make way for some extremely terrible episodes and a side kick who was more grating than helpful.I still wish the show hadn't ended so soon, there were a few villains who I don't feel got appropriate closure. Overall, it is a very memorable series that I highly recommend.
TheLittleSongbird Okay, I don't think it is as good as Batman:The Animated Series, which is a perfect example of how an animated series should be made. But it is better than The Batman, that was okay, but this is better. Batman Beyond is not as dark, as complex or as edgy as any Batman I have seen, but it is intelligent, interesting and smart. The animation is well above average, the music is wonderful, the characters especially the villains and Bruce Wayne are interesting, the stories are well-woven, the writing is intelligent and the voice acting particularly that of Kevin Conroy is dynamic. Will Friedle slightly lacks the edge and grit of Conroy, but he is appealing in a way. Overall, this is a good show, ambitious, but surprisingly intelligent and smart, it is a shame though it didn't last longer. 9/10 Bethany Cox
cheesetothepower A few months ago, I saw the direct to DVD movie for this series. I then watched a few episodes an I have to say that I love it. It has characters that I find interesting, the plots are not rushed in my opinion an the animation is not CGI but drawn unlike many other shows. All I can complain about is that there are so few episodes centering around the relationship between Terry McGinnus, the current Batman of the series and Bruce Wayne, the Batman before him. Their relationship isn't fully strait forward. I also wish that it more than three seasons. It had so much potential. A real shame. Maybe someday soon they'll (any nationwide television network) show reruns in a reasonable hour of the day.
