Synopsis

Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law features ex-superhero Harvey T. Birdman of Birdman and the Galaxy Trio as an attorney working for a law firm alongside other cartoon stars from 1960s and 1970s Hanna-Barbera cartoon series. Similarly, Harvey's clients are also primarily composed of characters taken from Hanna-Barbera cartoon series of the same era. Many of Birdman's nemeses featured in his former cartoon series also became attorneys, often representing the opposing side of a given case.

Rasheed Zelig Thomas Harvey Birdman is a great parody of Hanna Barbera classics! You know you are not a true Hanna Barbera fan if you didn't laugh at the jokes and wacky humor behind this series! The characters are all lovable! I can't say much about the series but that it's one of Adult Swim's finest cartoons ever! You need to at least give it a look!
zetes The first show that ever aired on Cartoon Network's revolutionary Adult Swim lineup, this series of 11-minute episodes has aired sporadically over the last six years. It will probably only work for those who, like me, were raised on cheap, awful Hanna-Barbera cartoons. The premise is that superhero Birdman has now retired from fighting crime and has become a defense attorney. Most of his clients are Hanna-Barbera characters. The appeal of the show is its quick wit. The lines and visual jokes are delivered at such a rapid speed, it can be difficult to keep up. Look away for a second, and you might miss the funniest joke in the episode. Which is actually cool, because it makes the episodes worth watching multiple times. The best character in the show is Peter Potamus, who was originally a hippo who could travel through time in his magical balloon. Now he's a lawyer working at the same firm as Birdman. His character is that of a total lecher, and he often pops up randomly asking characters in a suggestive manner: "Didja get that thing I sent ya?" I have no clue why that's so damn funny, but it cracks me up every time.
LoneWolfAndCub Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law is one nutty, wrong, but hilarious show. Featuring characters from the old Hanna-Barbera shows, this show doesn't fail when it comes to laughter. Harvey Birdman has given up being a superhero and is now a lawyer who defends many cartoon characters who run into the law. A few are Secret Squirell, Shaggy, The Flinstones, The Jetsons and Boo Boo. Many will enjoy the references to the old cartoons and the somewhat warped humour. The many homosexual underlinings of the characters is also quite funny. This show is recommended to everyone!! The randomness may not appeal to everyone, but the show is well worth at least one view.5/5.
wolf-lupo I've only seen one episode of Harver Birdman (last night), and I confess I haven't seen anything so funny in years. I've never laughed that hard because of something on TV.But contrary to what most comments seem to suggest, I don't think the appeal of the show is in the references to older cartoon characters, but the utter 'random' nonsense in which everything seems to happen. It mocks everything: daily monotony, office work, cartoon superheroes... etc with masterful asininity. This may sound ridiculous, but it takes a certain sophistication to step out of the box and produce such absurd genius and satirical undertone. I wouldn't call it weird for the sake of weird, its stupid for the sake of poking fun at the way things are, and some silly old cartoon characters. Its one of those things you either love or hate, I guess. But it IS creative and worth a few watches. By the way, I can't wait to see another tonight, and then get the DVDs.
