SnoReptilePlenty Memorable, crazy movie
Console best movie i've ever seen.
Allison Davies The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
Kaelan Mccaffrey Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
Ziggi 'Your Highness' falls into that genre of shock comedy which is hard to pull off usually but the film kept me laughing throughout with its outstanding fusion of fantasy and comedy. When you sit to watch it you're not expecting an Oscar winner so I think all the low ratings and harsh critic reviews it got are totally out of context. For lovers of the genre this is a must and has a good cast to hold it. Danny McBride and James Franco bounce off each other well and Justin Theroux delivers a hilarious performance as the villain. If you liked other films that orbit around the James France/Danny McBride crew such as 'This is the end' and 'The Interview' you'll like this flick.
lilygirl-33772 I watched this with my D&D group. They had all seen it and loved it, but I hadn't seen it yet. Well, needless to say we spent that entire night laughing and having a great time. I was laughing so hard, my abs hurt!! Twist it and punch the tip will forever go down as one of the greatest hand job requests ever xD And the part with the minotaur was just TOO funny. I won't say too much just in case because nobody likes spoilers. After the movie, we couldn't even finish our campaign because literally, nobody could stop laughing. It was amazing and I can't wait for another movie night that is as fun as this night was. If you like D&D, stoner movies and laughing your ass off, I definitely recommend Your Highness!!
Fluke_Skywalker I don't quite get the almost universal hate that 'Your Highness' has gotten over the years. It's a stoner comedy. Stupid for sure, but often cleverly so. The jokes come at a brisk clip and yet it still tells a traditionally satisfying sort of hero's journey. The cast is certainly game. Led by Danny McBride, who still manages to be likable even when he's being a jerk, they fully sell-out and just go for it here. And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Steve Jablonsky's score. Rather than going for something comedic, he plays it straight, delivering an epic score worthy of an actual fantasy adventure.
millionairevs I don't mind silly, parities for other movies or similar movie plots, but this was the most stupid, vulgar, and distasteful movie I have ever seen. There was nothing funny about it, just plain bad taste.I know there are men who said they liked it, but I don't know any men or women that would find this movie at all to their liking... except immature post adolescents to still snicker at jokes about sex, private parts, masturbation, or using the "f" word every other word even if it makes sense or not. Topics such as rape, beastiality and betrayal of friends and family is no joking matter and I find absolutely NO HUMOR in them at all.
