SunnyHello Nice effects though.
Moustroll Good movie but grossly overrated
Intcatinfo A Masterpiece!
Curapedi I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.
alexandrepdo it's said that they decided to delivery a 2000s teenager movie with it's worst in it. were are all the good gore and jokes? the actor that replaced the Djinn is real bad. we just continue to watch this hoping that the end it's going to be, at least, nice. and the other actors don't help in it. actually, the Djinn isn't the central character of the movie. they changed everything that was good and replaced for some "Scream" s#it version.
callanvass (Credit IMDb) The evil Djinn is back at again, this time wreaking havoc on the students of Illinois' Baxter University. This was utterly awful in every sense of the word. It's by far the worst in the series, by a mile. It's like they said "Hey guys! Let's cash in with another DTV sequel with little effort as possible, so we can make a few bucks" There is no suspense, potent drama, is virtually non- existent, scares are moot. There are far too many scenes where nothing of interest happens. It throws in characters I didn't give a rat's ass about, I wanted them all to die, except one. A.J Cook is beautiful and talented, but she is the films only saving grace, she can't do it alone. I do wonder if they got inspiration from Hellrasier, about how the Djinn is released in this one, it sure looked liked it to me. The Djinn looks laughably rubbery in this one, far from threatening. We also get one of the most annoying clichés in the history of Horror films. It's the "You're crazy, I don't believe you" I can't count how many times that cliché has been used, but it's stale beyond belief. The gore is great, but it doesn't make things any better. Impailings, death by liposuction (!) blood splashes, peeled off face, and more. The acting sucks donkey balls for the most part. I've already mentioned how adroit A.J Cook is, she's exempted from criticism. Jason Connery isn't. You can't teach charisma. Not only was his performance boring, but he is also boring. Tobias Mehler is one of the dullest love interests you'll ever see. His whiny performance grated my nerves and he needs an acting lesson.Overall, evade this one. The first two are cheesy fun. Even the 4th movie is relatively decent. This one is the pits. A poorly written story, crummy characters, and void of any fun what so ever. If that sounds like a night of fun to you, suit yourself3.2/10
chefy68 Then this is an OK movie. Not horrible to watch, several close ups of A.J.'s eyes. Even a nipply shot at the start. All in all not a bad way to spend a few minutes looking at her. Oh yeah, there's some bad guy monster thingy too. She sets it free? by accident and he becomes obsessed with her. Well really, who wouldn't be immediately smitten with Miss A.J.? The plot was thin-ish. Acting was, erm, just OK. BUT we get to see A.J. a whole lot! :) The rest of what was in here was fluff. The SFX were just OK, not gross or believable. There was some nudity but not from our heroine. I'd watch it again. In a dark room just to see A.J. doing her thing... looking AWESOME! :)
BA_Harrison This third installment in the Wishmaster series sees pretty blonde student Diana Collins (A.J. Cook) battling the nasty djinn after she accidentally frees it from a gem hidden inside a strange box.Andrew Divoff hangs up his horns after two turns as the titular demon, allowing John Novak his first stab at portraying the evil monster intent on wreaking havoc on Earth. Taking the director's reins is Chris Angel, whose only previous genre outing was the poorly rated (on IMDb) The Fear: Resurrection (1999). The result is just another so-so horror.Less gory than the previous two, but offering more T&A by way of recompense, Wishmaster 3 is predominantly aimed at a teenage male audience. Throughout the proceedings, we get plenty of gorgeous women in various states of undress (Emmanuelle Vaugier gets my vote for the hottest babe in the film), although lead actress A.J. Cook manages to keep herself covered. Shame!Jason Connery hams it up as the human persona adopted by the Djinn, adding yet another poor role to his unimpressive filmography. The rest of the cast are relative unknowns who would probably consider this film the high point of their careers (with the exception of Aaron Smolinski, who played Baby Clark Kent in Superman: The Movie).Wishmaster 3 lacks the over-the-top manic splatter that made the first two bearable and winds up a rather tedious affair, enlivened only by the occasional semi-nekkid babe.
