Smartorhypo Highly Overrated But Still Good
Dotbankey A lot of fun.
Abbigail Bush what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
Lachlan Coulson This is a gorgeous movie made by a gorgeous spirit.
bhuvanmathur Was intrigued when i saw a Pakistani movie on netflix. From the moment it begins you are hooked by the smart actors and the photography .But thats all there is to it.Unfortunately most of the acting is very pedestrian . Why are people speaking in American and made up British accents in Pakistan ? Ali azmat is a great singer , and i have been his fan since teenage days but he cant act for sure !The background music is good and some of the soundtracks are catchy but overall a lot to be done.looking forward to some better work from this team.Adios.
Usman Syed I was one of the few privileged people that didn't get to watch this film in cinema and instead waited a whole year for it be aired on TV. While my expectations for the movie were not that high from the beginning, the sheer awfulness of the movie not only shattered but desecrated whatever hopes i had. Waar is truly an awful movie, and its awful as a whole. The editing, the direction, the story, the acting, the score and even the cast is awful. If you ever had to describe the word "awful" to anybody just tell them to watch Waar. I get that its a fresh start for Pakistani cinema and i have to appreciate the effort (otherwise i'll be a raw agent) but it doesn't mean that you can spew out such crap movies and expect people to like it because of their nationality. In short this movie is a crap-fest and shouldn't be watched on cinema, DVD or TV. Don't even bother to pirate this.
sur-gull01 I watched the Rating of the movie it was 9.2 out of 10 so, i was interested to watch the movie well when i saw the budget of the movie it was 1714285$ so when i was watching the movie i was not expecting much form such a low budget but when i watch the movie i was shocked by the effort of this young guy Bilal Lashari hats off to his direction I and all of my non Pakistani fellow who are rating this movie 2 out of 10 they have watched such action Hollywood Flicks with a budget of over 100,000,000 $ such as Taken, Well i'd like to tell them let this director make a 100,000,000$ budget movie and watch the result, those are High Budget movies come on tell your Micheal bay and tell your Christopher Nolan to make a movie only 1714285 $ and show me it is 9+ rated When You came to rate a movie you have to keep all these things in mind the movie was good and worth watching if it is not 9 out of 10 okay But this Deserve nothing less than 8 out of 10
aurangzab2005 Well as i ve seen the movie twice in cinema & multiple times in mobile & PCs, i finally decided to give my reviews regarding WAAR. After a long long time, we see a movie in Pakistan that has attracted a multitude of viewers all around the country. The cinematography and special effects are something rare in Pakistan. Shan is no doubt currently the best actor in Pakistan film industry and he has proved his skills in the film with utmost maturity. Hamza Ali Abbassi, the face in the cinema has shown astonishing dialouge delivery & an ATS skills. Shamoon played a real bad ass without a sense of pity. Director Bilal Lashari, who studied film-making in California, says: "There was just no question, even if people were telling me: 'How can you do without them?'.From cinematography to style of acting, it is different from what has gone before.. Everyone here has been following Bollywood but the best we can ever come up with is going to be a B grade knock off. We need to create our own identity" & hell yeah he did!!For audiences here, it is going to be a complete 180 degree shift. From cinematography to style of acting, it is different from what has gone before." There is story, special effects, action scenes, performance, direction and so on that decide the fate of a film. Judging on these pure cinema related merits, the movie is a wonderful of especially keeping in mind the plight of film making in Pakistan. This was breath of fresh air for Pakistani audience who were rightly disappointed and had ceased to go to the theatres. As A Whole Waar Is A Brilliantly Made Action Packed Big Budget Patriotic Pakistani Feature Film Which Leaves You With Just A Single Word "WOW". A Worthy Must Watch.
