TrueHello Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
sfinancing ...when you mix pseudo-eastern philosophy at a grade school level with native american symbology(including buffalo...) with a poor screenwriter and at best(and that rarely) mediocre actors in a post-apocalyptic(?) semi fantasy setting. Sound like a mess? Yup.Strangely enough I think the mixed euro accented actors probably bugged me more than the buckskin gis. Abysmal choreography of the fight scenes left me longing for a jumping out at you POW! ala Batman. On yet another strange note the directing somehow managed to make this 85 min loser seem like i was 4 hours long.Fan of B movies, ok with old out of sync martial arts movies and 60s/70s Japanese samurai movies. This one is just incredibly bad on all levels.Free on Netflix, way over priced.
writerkeith Of course the film deserves the bad reviews, the storytelling is muddled and unfulfilling, but there is much to the film that is interesting, and if the project had a good writer behind it, would have made the film a standout low-budget film. The direction, camera work, visuals, all great work. The actors accomplished a lot with the dubious dialogue they were given. If you are interested in making films, definitely worth watching and discussing.
buddzoo This movie moved so slow... I was looking forward to it finally ending my agony. I don't think I've ever checked the time so much in one movie! If it ran at the correct pace, it probably would've been 30 minutes tops. Obviously a low budget film. The acting is mediocre, the scenes are repetitive, the "fight" scenes are bad and unrealistic, the filming and lighting made the movie appear as if it was filmed in the 1980's...not in 2017. And on top of all that, the end leaves you contemplating, "Huh?!" I cannot figure out how it managed to get over two stars. People rating this must be super bored and watch a lot of low quality shows to think that this is anything but awful.
p-minnis This film, subsidized by the Oklahoma Film Rebate Commission or something similar, was a lame attempt. Neither the plot nor the characters were developed, the acting quality was sad, and the fight scenes were high school. The Kingdom appeared to comprise a village of 9 or 10 funky black tents and had a similar number of warriors, while the Dominion (opposing dark side) had a few buildings made out of stone and perhaps 20 or 30 warriors. One reviewer said it was better than expected. I would hate to think what it was that he was expecting. The Film Rebate Commission should get their rebate back.
