TrueHello Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
Billy Ollie Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
zacharychitwood This is my favorite movie. I like this better than many films that are objectively better. A lot of them actually. The film has an excellent story by Disney sequel standards. Sure it´s just another forbidden love story, but it is an excellent one. The music is probably the best thing. He Lives In You: Epic opening, arguably better than Circle of Life. Also Tina Turner did a cover of this.We Are One: Strangely, this is my least favorite song. It has a sort of simple sound, and while the lyrics are good, I find this song kinda boring. My Lullaby: Oh. My. Goodness. This song is DARRRRKK!!!!....rai. (Pokemon Joke LOL) This is one of my favorite songs in the movie and one of my favorite movie songs in general. This song is masterfully done.Upendi: I don´t have anything to say. It isnt too interesting. But ill take it over Hakuna Matata any day.Not One Of Us: This scene is so powerful and the scene displays some of the best animation in this movie. Love Will Find a Way: My favorite movie song ever. The song is just so beautiful. I love this song. The film is arguably better than the original, especially in the soundtrack. The new characters are good. Rafiki is given more screen time and Timon and Pumbaa are given less. Even if this film isn´t better than the original, i think it is, and thats what matters to me.
Torrin-McFinn77 We (my family and I) got the VHS tape for this movie and it wasn't until recently I got it on blu-ray and watched it again. When I watched Simba's Pride for the first time and time passed after my last viewing, I forgot a lot. But after watching it again, it had my undivided attention. One of my online friends said she couldn't stand it and claimed it was overrated, while some of the other folks among the online community said it was overrated too. But it's nice as a sequel and I wanted to see more of Simba's adventures on the savannah. And Kiara and Kovu stole the show. Now we have The Lion Guard and it continues the adventures of everyone's favorite African animals. But this is a little better. It felt sappy at parts but on the whole it's a decent sequel along with other big-screen sequels such as The Mummy Returns and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. But I say give it a chance!
Laura Elizabeth Johnson (lizzieejohnson) I liked this film more than I thought I was. The film follows Kiara, the daughter of Simba who meets with an outsider lion, lions who had involvement with Scar during his reign. He is called Kovu. They meet when they are very young but are quickly separated. However all is not what it seems, and they are reunited. The reason why I loved this film is because of the idea of forgiveness is really prominent in the film. If you have seen my review of the first film, I did not think that the film had the child like spark to it. That is because there is nothing to learn from it or anything to take to mind. I admire the director who decided to fix that. This movie was even more heart warming and possibly had more of a backbone to it. The structure is more complex, however just enough to make it interesting. This would be more enjoyable for adults than the previous film.
audreyfist This film was ( to me ) a GOOD Sequel *for Disney's Standards*. It had a couple good songs *Some GREAT ones* like, "He lives in you" and that new villain song! "We are one" and that love song at the end was good. But I HATE the song that Rafiki sings. It was NOT good. But that's the only main problem I have with the film. My friends told me it was a hard one to sit through * Because I am a huge fan of the first film *. But I actually like it. The characters are fun, Even the new ones like Kovu and his family. Since Scar was my favorite Disney villain I didn't think that this new movie villain would be NOT as good. The new villain is actually pretty close to being as awesome as Scar. I mentioned this earlier but the new villain song is GREAT, Not as awesome as "Be Prepared" but again, it comes pretty close. The opening song is pretty amazing, Not as breathtaking as "Circle of Life" but still pretty catchy and memorable. Not the best Disney film but compared to "Return of Jafar" *Which I also love BTW XD* Its a cool Disney Sequel.I Love most of the songs and the animation isn't bad. The plot is decent and I love the movie *Not as much as the first movie* but its one that you can sit through and parents might even be able to enjoy it as well as kids.
