Two centuries after Snow White and Cinderella had their adventures, the Nine Kingdoms ready themselves for the coronation of Prince Wendel, Snow White's grandson, to the throne of the Fourth Kingdom. But an evil once-queen has freed herself from prison, and turns the prince into a golden retriever. Wendel, by means of a magic mirror, escapes into a hitherto-unknown Tenth Kingdom (modern day New York City) and meets Virginia and her father Tony. Pursued by trolls, cops, and a wolf in man's form, the three blunder back into the Nine Kingdoms and begin their adventures to restore Wendel to his human form and throne, and find the magic mirror that will take Tony and Virginia back home, all the while unknowing that Virginia already has a connection to the Nine Kingdoms that may prove deadly before we reach Happily Ever After.

Chirphymium It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional
ThrillMessage There are better movies of two hours length. I loved the actress'performance.
Adeel Hail Unshakable, witty and deeply felt, the film will be paying emotional dividends for a long, long time.
Keeley Coleman The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
momo36947 this film was written by Simon Moore and produced by Robert Halmi. The movie starts out in modern-day New York, following a girl named Virginia and her father, Anthony. Then in a different realm where Cinderella, Snow White, and Little Red Ridding Hood were once rulers of the land. Prince Wendell, the grandson of Snow White Gets turned into a golden retriever by his step mother, the evil queen. When the evil queen sends trolls after him to kill him, he finds a way to escape by running through a magic mirror. This is when he runs in to Virginia and their journey begins. One of my favorite characters is Wolf. I like him because he is relatable. because people judge him by his appearance because he has a tail and then they run away. And assume that he is always to blame. This is relatable because it is very easy to del like an outcast and that everything is your fault some times. This film is very unique because it gives a good twist on classic fairy tales. one of my favorite clips from the movie is when Virginia is try to win a competition by singing we will rock you in a lame remix( have to watch the movie to find out what that means). this movie was very emotional movie to me because you go on an emotional roller coaster , sometimes your happy , sad and laughing.
renoactor Let me start with praise for the magnificent graphics, costumes and sets and the cute story and the Wolf that stole the movie, followed closely by Sally Peep. But when Tony says he'll stay behind at the end, who can blame him? His daughter, whom he raised alone, considers him a joke and argues with him every chance she gets, and is more affected by the death of her mother who tried to kill her three times. Not that Tony doesn't have his own problems. He is continually sarcastic and verbally abusive to Virginia (and everyone else within earshot). I count no less than four times that his daughter is crying inconsolably and he stands silently and watches her. Have either of these people heard of a HUG? No wonder Virginia skips from a brief kiss to the horizontal hokey-pokey with Wolf. No one has ever shown her any real affection. I think that's where this film fell down for me. Dad and daughter were only sparring partners. They might as well have been complete strangers. It might have played better.
XenonOmega This movie is one of the best epic fantasy film I've ever watched!! 'Stardust' started the epic fantasy hype for me and this movie spurred the momentum even more when I watched it the second time recently. The storyline is absolutely beautiful! Just like 'Prison Break', there are lots of twists and turns in the story and that keeps you at the edge of your seat from the beginning to the end. The 'hatred' and 'love' relationship between the characters is also complex and enjoyable to see. I don't understand why NBC won't pick up for a second season... I've first watched this in New Zealand actually 8 years ago but I still remember the views were really high during the airing week... The opening sequence of the movie must have been the most beautiful piece I have ever seen!! Great special effects and the idea is very original. The theme song is very touching and they couldn't have pick a better theme song. I definitely recommend you watch this if you can, you won't waste your time. If you enjoyed 'Stardust', then you'll definitely enjoy this one..!!! ^^
