WiseRatFlames An unexpected masterpiece
Nayan Gough A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
Philippa All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
cinphoto While I wouldn't say this is a great movie, it was good. It was worth my time to watch. The description is way off. There is very little said about their fathers "suspicious" death. My hubby and I thought this was going to be a college party movie. We were way off. It's a drama with a lot of good action. I've never watched a supercross event in my life, but I really enjoyed the movie. I thought the acting was good with the exception of Aaron Carter who kind of sucked, but luckily was in very little of the movie. We may have liked it more because we weren't expecting much so it was a good surprise. And Steve Howey did a great job.
Grissom66 A motorcycle saga that chronicles the personal journey of two brothers who overcome emotional and physical obstacles to achieve success in the competitive world of Supercross racing. The brothers? conflicts are magnified by their different life choices and their decision to become competitors and rivals.KC Carlyle (Steve Howey) is a more cautious rider than younger brother Trip (Mike Vogel), who has more natural talent but takes too many risks. When KC gets an all-expenses-paid "factory" (corporate sponsored) ride, a rift forms between the two brothers. Trip is forced to go it alone, becoming a ?privateer,? a rider without a sponsor. But when a career threatening crash ends Trip's Supercross career, he and KC realize they must put aside their conflicts and work together to help KC defeat the world's greatest Supercross champions. Supercross 4/10
Blair Carriere The Title, "Supercross" is an excellent title and they couldn't have picked a better one. From beginning to end there is full out, full throttle action. There could have been a little more dialog, but all in all I decided to rate my vote on this movie as an 8 out of 10. This movie reminded me of the life of Ross "Rollerball" Pederson and his brother Aaron Pederson. Anyone that knows Supercross / Motocross would know or would have heard of Ross Pederson. Ross ruled the circuit for a decade, and K.C reminded me of him, having pure skill. Trip reminded me of Aaron Pederson, as he had so much guts. But soon in Aaron's career he had to retire due to breaking both Femurs in his legs. I wonder if this movie was partially inspired by them. There is a lot of action which made this movie good.
jetpilot_aust I have just seen this movie on DVD and I though it was great. Comments have been made about the bad dialogue and bad acting but I thought it was pretty much spot on. A lot of young people speak like that today, including me and I thought it was a pretty accurate depiction of what goes on in the real world. The acting was quite good too, the actors were great at getting across the emotional intensity of a situation on screen. Mike Vogel is a great actor and this is another solid performance in the sports genre for him as he gave a great performance in 'Grind' starring alongside Adam Brody. This is a great movie for any extreme sports fans. Even if you don't like extreme sports, I am pretty sure you will still like this film.
