Evengyny Thanks for the memories!
Abbigail Bush what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
Jonah Abbott There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
Cheryl A clunky actioner with a handful of cool moments.
Michael Ledo The film centers around Patrick (Bradley Cooper), a bipolar person, who has issues. He goes into a berserk mode whenever he hears "My Cherie Amour" like Curly used to do when they played "Pop Goes the Weasel." Of course bipolar people should be introduced to other bipolar people, because you never sleep with anyone crazier than yourself.Patrick is introduced to Tiffany (Jennifer Lawrence) who steals every scene with an Oscar worthy performance. Robert De Niro plays Patrick's father, a superstitious Eagles fan, who appears to be slightly bipolar himself. While institutionalized, Patrick learned to look for "the silver lining" in everything in order to cope with life, something he doesn't always do too well. Tiffany has her own issues and together they haphazardly work their way into a relationship. They should film more movies in Philadelphia as I have never seen the streets so clean. It is a heart warming, fun drama/romance with an indie flavor. Worth a view, but not necessarily on the big screen.Parental Guidance: F-bombs, no sex, brief nudity.
artonbenignoab First of all, this movie is really awesome, the acting of both main lead (Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper) is amazing, the directing, the music everything about the movie is fantastic, especially the story, where do i begin, it's a story about a guy(Pat) that just out from mental hospital, after almost killed the man that cheated with his wife. He than met with a girl(Tiffany) that is going to help him contacting his wife, because he wants to be back with her, after that Pat and Tiffany became friends and help each other out. In this movie we can see how Pat starts to deal with his issues by meeting Tiffany and hanging out with her. I just think that this movie is super amazing, do not read the review that say this movie is really bad, they said there is no message in this movie, well you just stupid, if you say that.... Just watch this movie and you will see how amazing this movie is...(i can say it hundreds of times).... I rated it 10/10 and sorry about my bad english....
michellesparks-55920 Silver Lining Playbook is a romantic comedy directed by David O. Russell, starring Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence and Robert DeNiro. Cooper plays Pat Solantano, who was recently released from a mental facility. Where he was hospitalized after having a breakdown and losing his wife to an affair and then losing his job. The movie follows his story in re-claiming his life and finding his own kind of happiness. Along his journey he crosses paths with Tiffany, played by Jennifer Lawrence who offers to help him with his estranged wife if he does something for her. The complexity of human relationships is played out very well throughout this film. The father/son relationship Pat has with his father who is played by Robert DeNiro, with both of them trying to figure out how to handle their complicated relationship after Pat's breakdown and hospitalization. Tiffany and Pat's relationship is also a very interesting one. They are both dealing with a lot of loss and coming to grips with their own insecurities. Camera angles were key in this film. The way it was shot really brought the viewer into these characters lives almost in the first person point of view. It seems the camera is going a long for the ride as another character within the film. Silver Lining Playbook is an excellent film focusing on the relationships of the common man and something everyone can relate too.
cinemajesty Film Review: "Silver Linings Playbook" (2012)In a young actress life, when Jennifer Lawrence encountered Director David O. Russell in Summer 2011 to be cast for the character of Tiffany, little did they know that their collaboration are about to change time for every one involved on the production of "Silver Linings Playbook", which limbs into neo-realism with characters in the middle of life to identify with. This picture shares an honest look-inside into a life under constant struggle to achieve, to create, to push out of the ordinary. Actor Bradley Cooper, with his tragic-comedic talent, clicks right on with the character of Pat, who went through mental treatment after beating the lover of his ex-wife toward death. Under the direction of David O. Russell becomes this dark fundament of an unless sad story; the bitter-sweet ingredients to follow life through against all odds to encounter, to open up to the new, which gets impersonated by Jennifer Lawrence's character, who as the just-cause encounter brings a perspective for an otherwise forfeit life of ex-teacher Pat.The conflicts between the characters, especially between the son and his father, portrayed by up to his most realism indulging character in years actor Robert De Niro, follow a documentary-like capturing by cinematographer Masanobu Takayanagi of recreating a man's life with opportunities every step of his pathway, out of his parents' home over dinner at his friend's house to the city hall of a professional dancing competition to be the motivating picture for every one, who encounters it.The pace of "Silver Linings Playbook" could not be better. All cast members fulfill a deep sympathy and understanding for the screen story also written by Dovid O. Russell, which shows through interconnected scenes that the leading characters, played by Jennifer Lawrence & Bradley Cooper, build a chemistry out of charm, wits, drama and comedic elements as life itself to die for.© 2017 Felix Alexander Dausend (Cinemajesty Entertainments LLC)
