VeteranLight I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.
InformationRap This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
Darin One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.
durmangirl I Ain't didn't got no doubt about this but after the events of the first bambi in the scene after Bambi said goodbye to his trusty and best animal buddies and even his father the great Prince and follows his new mother Mena, ronno saw bambi again and thought that they were pals which is ronno the mean young idiot fawn deer from disney, Bambi argues and fights him back while Mena runs up to him to see if he is alright As bambi and ronno Whom they mistakenly push and knock Mena that she got herself with her foot caught in a hunting trap. Which is causing that, when suddenly a pack of man 's hunting dogs hounds-animals Approached them. While ronno who calls out of his mother and begins to run away in both fear and terror And Bambi who stopped and is scared and stood frozen in fear. And mistakenly believing that she will be in danger and trouble too. Which is why should not had been happened in the first place from disney. Which is a mistake.
Eric Stevenson This movie actually set a new record for the longest time between a film and its sequel: 64 years. It is technically a midquel and not a full sequel but I think it qualifies. We waited 64 years for this? It seems like many people would consider this one of the least bad Disney sequels but for me, it wasn't interesting. It was mostly just set up for things that happen later in the original movie. The original film just so happens to be my favorite Disney movie of all time. I hold "Bambi" up to an extremely high regard. The animation isn't bad, but you'd think they would improve in the past six decades. There's this bully character who appears that is supposed to the deer Bambi fights over at the original movie's finale. I remember back when Saturday Night Live's TV Funhouse made a sketch called "Bambi 2002" which joked about a direct to video Bambi sequel. A sequel was in fact made and they even did a follow up sketch parodying how ridiculous it was that Disney actually did this. There's nothing offensive in this. It's just dull. Nothing is advanced and I guess I'm probably biased with how I love the original. There's uh, better Disney sequels out there. **
Lucas Berrill I enjoyed Bambi II, just as I enjoyed the first one, which was great, but I think this sequel is slightly better, which most people may disagree with, but this is just what I think. I like how they put this movie right in the middle of the first one (hopefully not spoiling anything) and it's a good little kinda "intermission" sequel, and it possibly had the longest wait since the first one, which came out in 1942, this one just 2006. And most people would think the first one is better because it was amazing for it's time. Since I'm not that old I wasn't alive back then, but I still really enjoyed the first one when I saw it out on DVD. But this one still has some characters you just hate, (especially the porcupine) but most of them are enjoyable. It is good for the kids, and if you saw the first one back in the 40's, you'll probably think the sequel is OK. I'd recommend it for fans of the first one anyway. Thanks for reading this review on the 2nd Bambi.
leilab08 But still a disappointment. Let's look back to the original film for a moment. Overall, not much dialogue. The humor was scarce but touching, the fawns a picture of innocence. Now take a look at Bambi 2. A lot of unnecessary yapping in between cheesy pop songs. Some of cute moments, some jokes reused from the original, and the movie even has its fair share of toilet humor. The fawns are now rambunctious and argumentative, at points even fighting with each other. Now I'm not saying that Bambi 2 has to be a carbon copy of the original, but shouldn't it at least possess a similar tone? There were many things I did like about this movie- the animation was spectacular, and the movie was, overall, pretty sweet. The original movie had a style that's hard to emulate, I'll admit. And hey, toddlers will probably pay attention to this one much longer than the first. However, in history, there are some films that just shouldn't be touched. Cinderella? Aladdin? Okay. But Bambi 2, as entertaining as it was, left me with a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. However, for what it's worth (a cheap, straight to DVD release), I guess I can't complain.
