Cathardincu Surprisingly incoherent and boring
BeSummers Funny, strange, confrontational and subversive, this is one of the most interesting experiences you'll have at the cinema this year.
SanEat A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."
Raymond Sierra The film may be flawed, but its message is not.
mehulwmin Let me get this clear. I am a great lover of syfy trash films and random creature features but this movie is god awful. The movie repeats itself every 10 mins. Again and again and again and again and again and againnnnnnnnnnn......Give this a miss there is better stuff out there!Ice Sharks for example feels so deep compared to this.
pcgness What did you expect from a SyFy original movie? It's badly acted, badly written, bad CGI, bad camera effects, stupid sex jokes, bad humor, stupid plot, bad script. It's perfect for a laughing fest. The whole movie itself was funny. Too bad somebody recorded the death scenes on YouTube and they got flagged Would have loved to watch that again! The way people didn't even react to people getting killed by "S-11" the genetically altered half shark have octopus monster, programmed by the military that went haywire. Yes, the characters are bland. Yes, death scenes happened at random, and were very stupid!! I still laughed my ass off at this movie, and I want the opening theme song on MP3, please!I honestly hope they make a sequel to this stupid but funny garbage. It's like Sharknado!!
bsfd0841 This film has everything. Bad lines, bad acting, great music, good cheesy CGI, lots of humor, funny characters, and lots of skin. Quite memorable. I love watching this movie over and over again. Preferably with good friends after a few drinks. We laugh and laugh. What a B movie masterpiece. Camp doesn't get much better than this. Every scene is gold. From Roger Corman, a veteran director of sci-fi cheese since 1954. He's at his best here. Its really so bad its good. Lots of great irony and humor. Oh, and the lines! "Damn you Sharktopus!" "I think you're a money grubbing Neanderthal, and the word on you is, you like cheap women and cheaper booze!" Too many other great campy lines to mention. We were howling. And satire. CNE? Must be Cable News Entertainment. Really nails cable news. I love this movie for the fun of it.
Michael O'Keefe Maybe another good idea gone bad. Genetic Scientist Nathan Sands(Eric Roberts)is proud of his creation, "S-11", a hybrid of shark and octopus. Sands feels he has filled the bill creating what is to be the most powerful secret weapon in the U.S. Navy's waning arsenal. Incredible creature meant to be any enemy's nightmare; shock and awe with total chaotic carnage. Sands is pleased to follow orders in staging a demonstration proving his fulfillment of a major government contract; but the control device on "S-11" comes loose allowing the creature to roam and attack at will. As the powerful "Sharktopus" makes way to the popular tourist spot Puerto Valarta, Mexico; Sands hires a Middle East war veteran Andy Flynn(Kerem Bursin)to capture the engineered killer before it attacks and gets more attention of news services. Too late! CGI is not the greatest and story line is more comical than frightening. Also in the cast: Sara Malakul Lane, Liv Boughn, Blake Lindsey, Hector Jimenez and Peter Nelson.
