Hayden Kane
There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.

Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.

The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

The whole movie is very entertaining, but the final action scene is absolutely amazingly bad. Watch this movie, just do it

The kind of film that could only come out of the 80s, this entertaining home-town action-flick is just as cheesy as you'd expect but always stays on the right side of silly and is enjoyable because of it. The plot of 'Road House (1989)' is predictable and clichéd, there are several corny yet memorable one-liners (for example, "pain don't hurt") and the picture loses its way a little in the middle portion but luckily there's a lot to like here as well, including several fun fight sequences and a well-rounded protagonist - decently portrayed by the late Patrick Swayze. You won't be bored so long as you don't expect a masterpiece. 6/10

I love action movies. I thought Patrick swayze did great in this film. It made me want to work out more. It's a great film to watch with a friend.

Road House, like Schwarzenegger's Commando has gained cult status among action fans, and for good reason. It is an over the top often hilarious film about a male cooler and his team of bouncers trying to turn a rowdy bar into a respectable place in a town owned by a local dictator. Patrick Swayze is great in this film, along with Point Break another action classic he seemed to be making great project choices after his success with Dirty Dancing. I recommend this film to anyone looking for an easy going often extremely violent action film with fabulous one liners to boot, a late 80's classic.
