SnoReptilePlenty Memorable, crazy movie
UnowPriceless hyped garbage
Tedfoldol everything you have heard about this movie is true.
Kien Navarro Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.
Nandana N The movie starts with George (Nivin Pauly) doing a very simple teenage thing- pursuing a girl. He's heavily infatuated, madly committed and egged on by friends, makes for quite a delightful start. The movie glides on with the same realistic tone throughout. George along with his friends Shambu and Koya make a wonderful trio, brimming with easy humour. I, for one, immensely enjoyed their friendship.Kerala's picturesque locales, rains and soulful background music elevate the mood of the scenes beautifully. Cinematography was at its best with subdued colours and wonderful play of light, almost made me feel like I was watching a Mani Ratnam movie. Music composition (both songs and the background score) was perfect in amplifying George's emotions. This coming-of-age film makes us revisit our idea of love from puberty and how it has transformed over the years. We have all been there. We know how it is like. The joy is in sitting through this beautiful ride. Everyone does their job perfectly in this movie, but the director Alphonse Putharen is definitely a true star.
Adrk Chaitanya The best movie in recent times which makes you feel refreshed enough. At the end of the movie you feel like watching it over again. The core of this movie is the freshness and the performances by the lead actors, especially Nivin and Sai Pallavi. The way the director portrayed Nivin's transformation was amazing. He lived well up to the expectations of the viewers. Sai Pallavi has given here decent and best performance. She makes everyone remember their own teacher Crush for sure. Though the story line is old (similar lines of Na Autograph (telugu movie), presentation here is new and amazing. Cinematography is one thing which needs to be appreciated (visually fantastic). Music is up to the mark. On the whole you will love this movie for sure. Kudos to the director.
mike fernando Premam is a Malayalam blockbuster movie about journey of a man called George. This narrates about youth, romance , coming of age , Indian secondary level education..etc. Visually stunning movies shows lot of glamor and beauty. As usually the film consists sentiments and melodramas at its best. You will definitely have joyful watch and film touches sensitive parts of human beings. Nivan puli one of the prominent actors in Malayalam cinema deliver one of his best performance. Film offers you lots if good qualities valued for the life. Recommend for the people who are in love with BOllywood movies 'cause you would see same glamor and other stuffs in here as well...
jisha-66982 I am no movie buff and I cannot get into any technical aspects of the movie, but to me, Premam is more than perfect and the spell it has spun has remained with me even after a good one month since I watched it to make me write a review. It was nothing but pure and sheer entertainment and pleasure to watch a honest movie made by Alphonse Putharen. The story, as many know by now, is not complicated; it's about adolescence, of innocent love/infatuation as many like to call it and the heartbreak of a failed proposal, the at-the-tether-end-of-adolescence phase where we do believe in love at first sight and giving a damn about the world, the more mature young man phase where love happens even after past failures. To get dramatic, Alphonse Putharen is an artist who has painted his canvas with all the right mixture of emotions, colors, palettes etc. I can see from his interviews that he is a very passionate filmmaker and his work shows in such a way that you are bowled over by each frame of the movie.Nivin Pauly is at his best in this movie. Believe me, the first movie that I got to watch of his is Neram and I simply can't compare how much he has grown from there to here, his personal best performance so far I believe. Sai Pallavi is like a fresh breath of air, perfect as Malar, you will fall in love with her for a whole lot of reasons, the voice, eyes, the pimples, etc.Shabareesh Varma, Krishna Shankar, Vinay Forrt, Anupama Parameswaran, Madonna Sebastian, Soubin Shahir, Siju Wilson, Sharafudheen, Ananth Nag, Renji Panicker, the peon and so on will leave an indelible impression on your mind. The songs need a special mention. If Alphonse Putharen is the quintessential filmmaker, Rajesh Murugesan is the versatile music composer. This movie has a magical feel to it because of its varied genres of music. The background score suits the mood of the movie to the T. Also, all the song lyrics are penned by Shabareesh Varma, it has made me run around looking for words unheard of before because I am a native Speaker only with no prior knowledge of tough, unpronounceable Malayalam words. The whole feel of the lyrics and composition takes you to another level. These songs are my morning walk partner now.To sum it all up, for me this is a whole new phase of rediscovering Malayalam movies, like the ones where something stirred in your heart when you watched Lalettan, Jayaram, Maamooka, and the likes emote. With this movie, Alphonse has announced to the world "Watch out world, here I come." Thank you Alphonse for making me proud of my roots!!
