Abbigail Bush what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
Lidia Draper Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
Kaydan Christian A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
Kaelan Mccaffrey Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.

slightlymad22 Continuing My plan to watch every movie in Arnie's filmography in order, I come to Kindergarten Cop. Plot In A a paragraph: Detective John Kimble (Arnie) is a tough cop given his most difficult assignment, to go under cover as a kindergarten teacher in order to find a drug dealer.Even bearing in mind this is a kids movie, Cullen Crisp is simply the worst bad guy to ever grace an Arnie movie. Even his over bearing mother is painful. But that's OK, because John Kimble is a cool character in the opening scene's and then the real fun in this movie is Arnie with the kids. I used to have a crush on Penelope Anne Miller in this, and she is still cute!! None of my teachers ever looked like her. Lol In his autobiography Total Recall, Arnie tells how he waited for a year to make this with Ivan Reitman (who was busy with Ghostbusters 2) and how he insisted that the script be rewrote to include broken homes, child abuse and he also wanted a physical fitness theme added too, as he was heavily involved in The Presidents Council On Physical Fitness at the time (which also explains his cameo in 1993's Kevin Klein movie Dave)The 10th highest grossing movie of 1990 with a gods of $91 million at the domestic box office. The only time Arnie had 2 movies in the top ten highest grossing movies of the year.
Michael_Elliott Kindergarten Cop (1990) *** (out of 4) Detective Kimble (Arnold Schwarzenegger) goes undercover as a kindergarten teacher because they get word that a drug lord's (Richard Tyson) ex-wife might be living there under a different name. The police need her to testify against her former husband and soon the new teacher begins to think the person might be another teacher (Penelope Ann Miller) that he has fallen for.I watched KINDERGARTEN COP several times when it was originally released and as a ten-year-old I found it to be funny and exciting. Revisiting the film nearly two decades later had my entertainment level drop down some but I still thought it was a pretty good movie, although it's certainly uneven to say the least.I say uneven because if you remember when the film came out then you probably remember the film getting attacked for being marketed towards children even though there are some rather dark moments in the film. It's weird because part of the film is aimed at the kids with Schwarzenegger playing a lovable giant and there are some great and funny moments as him as the teacher. On the other hand, the film also has some rather tense violence as well as some darker subject matters including divorce and child abuse.Director Ivan Reitman does a good job on both parts of the film but at the same time they kind of take away from each other. The darkness means there's not going to be enough laughs and what laughs there are takes away from a pretty good cop movie. Schwarzenegger turns in a good performance as he has no problem playing the tough detective but I also thought he was charming and fun as the teacher. Miller has always been an underrated actress and she too is quite good here. Tyson makes for a great villain and we get nice support from Pamela Reed, Carroll Baker and Cathy Moriarty.KINDERGARTEN COP runs a bit too long and it's certainly way too predictable but if you're a fan of the action star then you can overlook the flaws and just enjoy the picture.
Byrdz It's a fun film. Not a thinking film ... just plain fun. We get to see Ahnuld the action cop and Ahnuld the sentimental sap. He once again gets to interact with little people be they kindergarten kids or the diminutive principal wonderfully played by Helen Hunt. His partner is played by Pamela Reed and she is one of the best characters ever. Funny, tough, flu ridden and hungry! Penelope Ann Miller plays the love interest well.Wasn't too thrilled with some of the lines the little kids said but that may be just me. The holiday presentation was cute.We know the villain is a bad guy just by seeing his long greasy ponytail. His mother is played by Carroll Baker and is a great rival to Angela Lansbury's Manchurian Candidate mother-from-Hades. Have some spare minutes ? They would be well spent checking this one out. It's funny. It's suspenseful. It's not a total waste of time ! What more can you ask of an Ahnuld little movie ?
