Grimerlana Plenty to Like, Plenty to Dislike
Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
Livestonth I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible
Billy Ollie Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

tlrg-legend Poster boys is a solid comic effort from debutante director Shreyas Talpade. Fact is he has worked in some of our better popcorn comedies in recent years like Golmaal and Housefull , add the fact that he himself is a good comic timing actor has helped him in dishing out a movie which is entertaining enough.Poster Boys makes you realize that Bobby Deol has a very good talent for comedy. His effort as the small town teacher ,forever dominated by an aggressive wife might come across as heavily Dharmendra in chupke chupke inspired but Bobby Deol leaves his mark in this movie. His shudhdh Hindi lines and the small diary in his pocket acts brought the house down.Shreyas as the toughie collection agent who acts confident but is actually dumb does his job with the casual ease that an actor of his calibre can.Sunny Deol proves yet again that he remains a superstar who can own the scene anytime that he wants to. His Jagawar Chaudhary effort is good enough to make this movie watchable and the scene where he casually plucks the lock out the grill makes you wonder if this screaming avenger of 90s only needs a good director and one more rocking hit could just be round the corner.Poster Boys is a tale of three small town characters who are brought together in a comedy of errors because they get their photograph clicked in the same mela from the same photographer. An unexpected social campaign of nasbandi lands them into big time soup and their near and dear ones also get entangled in unnecessary pain and complications. The story is about how the three come together and win their battle. In the process the movie ends up giving you some positive message around gender equality too BUT make no mistake Poster Boy is a laugh riot.Poster Boy's biggest pull is the earthy presentation of its humour, it does not have Rohit shetty style grand canvas presentation or David Dhawan style of comedy presentation. Yet the comedy moments, the one liners keep coming at you like a barrage of bullets. The internal chemistry of all the characters and the small subplots like the teacher and his dominating wife, Jagawar and his down to earth partner, Arjun singh and his two bumbling but golden hearted side kicks are all well mixed with the main story plot - actually Shreya Talpade deserves kudos for building a screenplay which is just 130 odd minutes and yet keeps a story which is engrossing enough. Not for once does the movie loses its focus on entertaining the comic way.If you are looking for decent enough humor entertainment for the weekend Poster Boys is good enough.Poster Boys , I must confess , is unexpectedly good and probably this will be one of the bigger surprise hits of 2017.
Samahire404 POSTER BOYS REVIEW : I have already watched Marathi version of Poster Boys multiple times on TV and liked it so obviously i was not expecting much from the Hindi version. But despite being predictable for me, film did not disappoint at all. From the Beginning till the end film doesn't lose the grip so it end up as a Decent One Time Watch. If i compare it with the marathi film then there will be so many minuses but i think it would be unfair so let it remain individual film and let me talk about it.Performances of 3 lead male stars lifts the tempo of the film. Sunny Deol is massy, loudy so does lovable in his most lovable avatar. Bobby plays a decent and gentleman's characters so this one doesn't impress much. Shreyas is playing a Tapori character and may be that is why he looks different from Deols and connects well with the audience. Music is below average and thankfully there are No useless songs in a film except the beginning credit song in which Elli Avram skin show is eye pleasing for masses. Screenplay is tight, no useless scenes, it is sticked to the content strictly that's why film doesn't go off track for a minute. Direction wise Shreyas doesn't show something new but still it looked good because he had strong script in hands so there's no need to do much. And thankfully he did not try anything and did not try to disturb the main theme of the film. Dialogues are catchy, some PJs are hilarious such as Sunny Deol's famous dialogues, Soldier's ringtone and many more.Overall, Poster Boys is a Decent and watchful film with mixture of Good and realistic script, Comedy, few massy scenes and above all there's a Social message in climax. So go for this one, if you have not seen the Marathi version then you'll like it very much and even if you have watched the marathi version still film won't disappoint you. I give 6/10* to this Well made, Well crafted, Social Comedy flick.
Filler Ruth POSTER BOYS is the story of three men whose lives turn upside down for no fault of theirs. Vinay Sharma (Bobby Deol) is a docile school teacher, Arjun Singh (Shreyas Talpade) is an over enthusiastic school teacher while Jagaavar Chaudhary (Sunny Deol) is the explosive but also well-mannered retired army officer. They reside in a village called Jangheti and one day, they find their pictures on a poster promoting vasectomy. They are immediately ridiculed and the trio try their best to convince their near and dear ones that they haven't undergone the procedure and that their pictures have been wrongly used. They decide to take on the system to avenge the humiliation that they suffered. What happens next and whether they get justice forms the rest of the film.POSTER BOYS doesn't start on a great note. The beginning portions are stretched, with the family members and acquaintances ridiculing the trio but not telling them the reason for the same. Also the TV style flashback portions look poor. The film picks up when the trio meet each other at the bridge. From here, the film turns into a fairly entertaining ride right till the end with no dull moment anywhere. A Few scenes stand out like Jagaavar stopping Arjun and Vinay from fighting, the trio going to local health office, the interval point, Jagaavar getting a call from Riya (Tripti Dimri) at midnight, Jagaavar and Vinay fooling the doctor (Ashwini Kalsekar) etc. The climax is quite exciting and it's praiseworthy how the makers have managed to seamlessly add a social message into the narrative.Shreyas Talpade's story is novel and makes for an entertaining film. Bunty Rathore and Paritosh Painter's screenplay is effective overall, despite an average beginning. The fun element never stops and that is quite a feat. Bunty Rathore and Paritosh Painter's dialogues are hilarious and witty and one of the highpoints of the film. Shreyas Talpade's direction is quite good and he makes a great directorial debut. He ensures the subject isn't dumbed down and that audiences aren't taken for granted. Also, the way he and his team has made references to Deol brothers' earlier films like DAMINI, SOLDIER etc. is quite smartly done.
