FeistyUpper If you don't like this, we can't be friends.
Matialth Good concept, poorly executed.
AutCuddly Great movie! If you want to be entertained and have a few good laughs, see this movie. The music is also very good,
Nayan Gough A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
islandstace I'm a total sucker for the entire season of Hallmark Christmas movies and have seen some a number of times. Living all the way in Central America, I get to see some scenes of home as most movies are filmed in Western Canada and I'm always left with a feeling of nostalgia and a hope for closer relationships and a large kitchen to make everyone Christmas dinner. Anyway, I liked the diverse group of ppl this film brought together and found the Dr to be very sexy. However I agree with other reviewers in that the hold up at gun point was unnecessary. I'd also be really concerned to keep a dog in my house with my kids who leads them into dangerous situations, starts a building on fire, and sits and waits in traffic for someone to save it. Yikes! What a Bad Dog.
pacarlen I am not a person that laughs easily and lately I have been going through some medical problems that have me more like Scrooge than Scrooge himself. I did not have any expectations when I sat down to watch the movie but while watching the movie, I actually laughed so hard, my eyes watered. I forgot about my aches and pains. I liked the movie so much, I have it saved to watch again, something that I never do. Was it a silly movie, probably, but it was just what I needed to see. I thought that the whole cast was pretty funny and once the movie started it never missed a beat and there was hardly a break in my laughing. I do not know if It will be as funny the second time around, but I am going to give it a try. I say Kudos to the cast and crew! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but to those that did not like the movie, Bah! Humbug!
LatinHeatMedia I love this tender Christmas madcap crazy movie. It has heart, soul, compassion and it is cast beautifully with a diverse ensemble of talented actors. It's 2014 and it's about time we start watching movies that accurately represents the U.S.A. Kudos for the great casting! Carlos Gomez is perfect as the widower and father of a daughter stationed in Afghanistan. Loved it all! And, as a bona-fide dog lover, well, it's a home run! Hallmark Channel movies are great but I hope to see more stories with diverse cast. Anne Heche is also great as the frazzled mom who probably wishes she could have a do-over and start the day all over again. Ever have one of those days where everything goes wrong from the moment you wake up? One Christmas Eve is one of those days. You'll laugh, smile, and rejoice in turning it all around... if only it could be.
boblipton A couple of janitors working late on Christmas Eve have a puppy dumped on them. They try to leave in on Anne Heche's doorstep, but one of them breaks his leg fleeing... and that's just the first disaster in this remarkably funny comedy from the Hallmark Channel's annual Christmas season of original movies.Jay Russell directs his cast in wonderfully straight-faced performances as they struggle to get through this particular calamity, only to break an arm or be robbed at gunpoint in a snowstorm. Miss Heche's just-keeping-it-together-for-the-kids demeanor is very funny, and the mildly incredulous way Brian Tee as the doctor who keeps seeing the same bunch of shlemazels return to his emergency room yet again is fine. There aren't many laugh-out-loud moments, but no one tries for them. You will smile a lot as people manage to get through big and small problems and still be happy.
