Teodora Maleficent ,the evil fairy of Disney's Sleeping Beauty ,is among the scariest Disney villains and my favorite Disney villain.This movie has very good sets and costumes.The characters are altered (Aurora's father,Philip and the fairies especially).This movie robs Maleficent of her evil nature .She reminded me more of an evil fairy from the original fairy tale than Maleficent from the animated movie(who is evil to the core and among the first vilains to say Hell in an animated movie).Best acting came from Angelina Jolie as Maleficent.She is suitably menacing and elegant.Diaval was also good and had a very good chemistry with Maleficent.Overall,good but sorta empty.

Miracles Happen I've watched this movie twice because, the story, the environment, the costumes, the CGI and the highly convincing acting is simply great. Angelina's performance is incredible; she has to express a complete set of emotions all condensed in the same movie. I particularly like how the story develops and how things turn bitter when you least expect it. I put this movie in the same category of those great fantasy movies such as Willow, The Dark Crystal and Legend. A masterpiece!

Smoreni Zmaj Told from the point of view of "evil" fairy who cast the curse. Disney finally decided to leave behind black-and-white, two-dimensional, "good vs evil" way of portraying the world and released magnificent anti-hero movie in shades of grey. "Heroes" do not look so innocent any more and "villain" gets proper background story that explains how it came to the story we remember from our childhood. Either this story has no holes or I missed them being hypnotized by beautiful scenery and wonderful effects. Elle Fanning is not as beautiful as her character name tells but she played her role very well, while Angelina Jolie nailed hers. There's no point to further analyze this movie because I have no objections at all and if I start praising its qualities it could take forever. It's simply perfect, maybe even the best Disney feature film so far. Although it's tight race with Pirates.10/10
