Intcatinfo A Masterpiece!

shakercoola An enjoyable outing which stands alone as good, pulpy entertainment with plenty of pulpy action, and some fine performances. There's no real surprises but I feel that this was a character to get behind and cheer on. The pacing towards the end of the second act into the third falls off as tension drains, but up to then it is is solidly old-fashioned Saturday good matinée entertainment. It maybe quite inane but the action is commensurate with the drama which is to its credit. There was no need for over-the-top seizure level CGI.

cricketbat Captain America: The First Avenger is, essentially, a 2-hour setup movie. It has some good performances and fun action, but it almost seems like they are rushing through this movie so they can get to The Avengers movie. Also, I like Cap, but it does seem odd to root for a superhero who is pretty much a poster boy for the advantages of steroid use.

alexlachance A few flaws but a great story. It was a very emotional movie with the death of Bucky ( who will come back ) and the freeze of Captain himself.

calumsmithy I felt like it was a slow film; easy to follow and the characters involved are great.
