Lovesusti The Worst Film Ever
RipDelight This is a tender, generous movie that likes its characters and presents them as real people, full of flaws and strengths.
WillSushyMedia This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.
Neive Bellamy Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
garfieldjv This movie did "the job" let people cry me and other people ! And remember that heart beating moment, you do not want to eat! Some people at this point you love to have time machine and back time machine. This movie so real and true. I take my phone with first love picture I pull over from dusty folder put in my phone and go to 0 Time Squire and sit on red stairs and look billboard. And suddenly people freeze around me and I look to lighting of build boards with some signs and it bring me so many memories , It like feels siting on the stairs with my first real love.It is so funny I am some of us do not do same mistakes do things different away. There is nice songs Nazareth- love hurts it is describe the movie! DAM Also when I KISS girl I got THE SAME AND RESPOND from my first real love. Remember the moment when we boys and girls arguing boys and girls differences !I think when you watch this movie bring it any adult to his first love days.
ethanspeed This movie is a perfect representation of how romantic comedies are formed. Every Romantic Comedy Ever is summed up in this movie. Literally every one of them smashed into one. From There's Something About Mary to Crazy Stupid Love, this film sums up all of them. Many parts of the movie can be very good, but some...Not so much.... For Example, The scene where Gabe goes all Psycho on Rosemary. It's basically like he's on his period or something. The rest of the movie is very good but will never amount to be a classic like Billy Elliot. The story itself is very well developed for this film and I like the narration from Gabe (most of the times) and the inspirational speech from Josh Hutcherson. Other problems with this film are that the CGI effects in Gabe's fantasies or dreams are mostly pretty cheesy but it doesn't really matter, because It's a kid's fantasy. And that is the end of my review. Thanks for reading.
kulkarni_ss11 I caught the promo of this movie on TV one evening and that was enough for me to go hunting for it. This movie really blew me!!!A simple yet engrossing storyline, good screenplay with regular commentary from Gabe in the background (which was truly awesome), perfectly reflects the thinking of every boy of his age. Having passed through that age, I can say that the movie was faithful to innocent childish love-like feeling which many experience at that age.Every little feeling of happiness, jealousy, attraction, anger were shown brilliantly. The movie is full of good innocent humor. Also there are some parts which really make you smile. The whole movie was one great experience and I would love to congratulate the makers of this movie for going out of the line in making this one. Every time i watch this movie i again feel like i was 10 feeling afraid of talking with any girl.I would strongly recommend this movie to young guys and girls because it gives you lots to relate yourself with...The entire cast has done a fair job but Josh Hutcherson really brings Gabe to life. His performance stands out and he will surely remain in your mind long after this movie ends ...
Brian T. Whitlock (GOWBTW) Love in New Yok brings back memories of my first love. Only I was 7 years-old. A young man named Gabe(Josh Huterson) meets his friend in karate class named Rosemary(Charlie Ray). They once knew each other in kindergarten, now hey go to karate class together. Those two were an item, just like me when I was in 2nd Grade. The karate teacher knew they like each other, only Gabe wasn't man-enough to show it. For Gabe it's hard because his parents are divorced, and it's his first time on knowing love. Most boys think it's gross when a girl kisses him. I would say, "WHIMPS!" I never got grossed out when my girlfriend kissed me. When Rosemary was getting a new sparring partner, Gabe thinks they were the new item. However, he was a jerk realizing that she didn't like him. He cries and cries when he hurt her. I was man enough to admit being a jerk when I called her a name I regretted. Took me two days to say I was sorry. Then she was going to a private school, and he learns that out of all the girls, she was the one he ever loved. Love is strange, it hurts, and it heals, this movie is perfect for me. Simply because it brought back memories. 4 out of 5 stars!
