valeriiakuznetsova Walk the line is a wonderful movie which shows the story of life of a young talented musician. It also shows a story about the path in life which everybody choses himself. The protagonist was talented when he was a child, but didn't have a chance to practice his skills. At first the main character led ordinary life but he felt just he needed music. Finally, when he got such an opportunity. he plunged with his head and shoulders in the beautiful world of art and music. People say that show business changes people. Did it changed John's life or this side was always hidden in his inner world? Reese Witherspoon perfectly suits this movie. Her play is magnificent and her character June is stunning. She is a nice, easy-going girl who wants to sing but minds her principles. As for music in the movie, I am not keen of musicals but here it is really matching. All the songs in the movie are incredibly rousing. So, I really advice music-lovers with good taste to watch it. I was esthetically happy. To walk the line means to choose another path, find one's way in life or otherwise loose it. One might cross a thin line which separates good and bad. This is my vision of the main idea. It also encloses the topic of priorities. How to make the right choice? How to decide what is more important: family or work of life? All these questions are posed in this movie and we, the audience, are to answer them to ourselves.
mani_ch This film describes the time when rock 'n' roll was a new trend in music. The author was able to accurately convey the atmosphere of that time. The film reveals the history of not only the musical path, but also the history of child-parent relations and how they affected in adult life. Songs Joni Kesch wrote from the experiences of life. The film is collected from the most significant moments of the singer's life. At an early age, strict education of the father and the tragic death of his brother. Further service in the army, the first wife and the beginning of creative activity. Getting acquainted with June Carter became a turning point for the singer both in his personal life and in his work, they start touring together and they have a romance. Then the black strip of Kesh's life is shown, this is the departure of the first wife with the child, the drug addiction of the singer and how Jun Carter and his family help get rid of it. The ending of the film was the moment when the beloved agrees to become his wife. The singer had to wait for a positive response for ten years. The film is at least a long one, but I liked it thanks to the actors' play.
evtushenko Walk the Line is a 2005 American biographical drama film directed by James Mangold. The screenplay, written by Mangold and Gill Dennis, is based on two autobiographies authored by singer-songwriter Johnny Cash. The film follows Cash's early life, his romance with June Carter, and his ascent to the country music scene. It stars Joaquin Phoenix as Cash, Reese Witherspoon as Carter, Ginnifer Goodwin as Vivian Liberto, and Robert Patrick as Cash's father. The film was nominated for five Oscars at the 78th Academy Awards, including Best Actor (Phoenix), Best Actress (Witherspoon, which she won), and Best Costume Design (Arianne Phillips). The film grossed more than $186 million worldwide. I knew a lot about Johnny Cash before watching the movie. It was really helpful. A very famous musician and singer of the second half of the XX century played a key role in the development of music. That is why I was impressed by the Phoenix's acting. For those who knew Johnny Cash before it was the great impersonation. Joaquin Phoenix performs songs himself. These songs were like Cash's performance. Manners, gestures, movements, a reprimand, a smile, and even the way he holds the guitar in his hands are like a reflection in the mirror of Cache. But what really surprised me was that he did not get an Oscar for this movie. As for Reese Witherspoon, I absolutely do not like her as an actress. I cannot understand her absolutely. But nevertheless she looked quite believable. But the reason for what she was given an Oscar does not clear for me. In generally I saw the film with pleasure. It is simple, but at the same time is quite cute. Music which were played during the movie immersed in the life of that musical era. In addition, I was very pleased with the accuracy of the plot to the very biography of the singer. It is noteworthy that I watched it on February 26, the birthday of the singer. There was some magic in this fact. In general, the movie is very good. 8/10
alina-stepanenko Walk the Line is a 2005 American biographical drama film directed by James Mangold. The screenplay, written by Mangold and Gill Dennis, is based on two autobiographies authored by singer-songwriter Johnny Cash-Man in Black: His Own Story in His Own Words and Cash: The Autobiography. This biographical tape is devoted to the life story of the legendary country singer Johnny Cash and his second wife, June Carter. The youth of Cash, born in 1932 in Arkansas, was overshadowed by the tragic death of his elder brother and the disdainful attitude towards him by his father, who considered him to be a bad son. A film worthwhile, vital, about the struggle of a man with himself, to fall to the bottom and find the strength to stand up. Very much hooked and liked! Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon played their roles perfectly. A film with very good acting. In trifles biographical, which made the story somewhat ordinary. After all, for us and in particular for me, Johnny Cash is just one of many American performers. I think that for Americans he is a star and a legend. This is an excellent biographical film that will fill you with a musical, love, life atmosphere. The whole film you will go along with the main character on the line, experiencing all the joys and adversities. Uniquely conscience to viewing.
