Fluentiama Perfect cast and a good story
Curapedi I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.
Hattie I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.
Deanna There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.
rusken11 Why let people sit like a questionmark with endings like that?? It is so annoying. But hey, the pitbull is a great babysitter so I want to belive that Ollie was ok.
westsideschl You know how you can always tell a cheap movie? When opening scenes are dominated by either/both prolonged shots of trees either aerial or ground level and prolonged shots of car moving on roadway either car level w/occupants small talking or aerial. Talk about unimaginative filler! Then we have the stereotyped back country baddies. I'm sure you can visualize the typecasting already. Yes, people die as usual and someone escapes - as mostly usual. What's even cheaper, but thank goodness, is the producers didn't budget in any prosthetic scenes of the actual dispatching of a person - left to your cost saving imagination.
Stevieboy666 A young couple go camping in the Bush, only to find themselves fighting for their lives against a couple of murderous, psychopathic rapists. It's quite well acted, brutal & makes nice use of the Australian scenery. Sadly it offers nothing new to the horror survival sub genre and I found it pretty pointless, having seen this sort of thing done so many times before. Shame as Australia has produced some great thrillers/horror movies. This is not one.
Leofwine_draca KILLING GROUND is another nasty, realistic, grubby little horror film from Australia in which the horror comes from man rather than a mythical creation. I don't know, after watching the likes of the WOLF CREEK films, this, and SNOWTOWN, you'd never want to visit the country! The story is about a couple of hikers who stumble upon a crime scene and are soon pursued by some very unpleasant characters. It's an obviously low budget story that suffers a little from some confused narrative touches (the mingling of past and present storylines early on is a bad choice) but generally works in a small-scale way. There's enough suspense to see it through, as well as some shocking and hard-hitting violence. The story gets more entertaining as it goes on and it all becomes tension-packed towards the climax. It's hardly a great film, but I'd say that it achieves what it sets out to do.
