Cebalord Very best movie i ever watch
Fairaher The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
Aubrey Hackett While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.
Bob This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
elshikh4 I thought that she shouldn't choose the one who looks like her (in past, marks, circumstances.. etc) because this may be a mutual narcissism. You're just looking for the one who is relatively differing from you, having whatever attracts you (so the positive attracts the negative in physics). In brief we fall in love – forever this time ! – with whoever completes us, and maybe all of that applies to the character of the intellectual very patient first date regarding that he tolerated (Lucy) in her worst states ever, didn't take advantage of her, and above all he has virtues she doesn't have as he learns from her too ! The script avoided him as the winner of Lucy's heart whether because she didn't fall in love with him or to make sure that this is one character that turned into a better person because of her, unlike her relationships with all the rest of the men/dates whence she was the one who was influenced by them. The movie itself was super fun as a great new plot, or as an engaging performance from everybody especially from (Monica Potter) who's so lovely and sensitive. Strange that a lot of people say that she is the young copy of (Julia Roberts) or that she is doing the kind of roles that (Meg Ryan) done !! Well, they're all mistaken and all of their so-called reviews is just pure crap ! She is on her own, like no other but unfortunately having the bad luck all over her career which I think that it had TV works and independent movies more than any Hollywood flicks.Anyway, although I believe that there is no rules in Love but I've always thought that this lead didn't make the right choice, like she selected herself but in a manly copy ! And believe me on the long run that's not a good thing to do. Certainly, I "wasn't" with Lucy in this !P.S: if you're thinking like me that (Lucy) made the wrong choice. Please E-mail me.
runawaygoat We all know that "I'm with Lucy" is not "Citizen Kane" among the movies, but being a fan of cinema masterpieces from all over the world I was really surprised how good and enjoyable this one was. Usually when I see a romantic comedy I skip the channel, but not this time. I decided to follow the story thanks to Monica Potter who is great for that kind of movies and deserves to be more famous. She reminds me of Meg Ryan's roles in "You've got mail", "Sleepless in Seattle" and etc. The movie? Not a single dull moment. Believe me I was expecting something much worse than what I was able to see. Variety of actors works fine, turn of the events is quite surprising. If you'll have a chance watch it. It won't waste your time as it gives everything you could expect from romantic comedy. Few laughs and entertainment. Enjoy!
Annett81 I think this film deserves a lot more attention than it actually gets - it is as enjoyable as "Notting Hill". If you like romantic comedies you should not miss this one. John Hannah and Henry Thomas are very well casted and fit perfect into their roles. Very funny film and a nice story - 8/10.
theprovinces Monica Potter is tremendously appealing and talented and it's curious why she hasn't achieved the success she so obviously deserves. Could it be that she resembles and sounds like Julia Roberts? Since her performances don't exude ego, this viewer finds her more appealing and a better actress. The film chronicles the dating adventures of Lucy and is framed by five significant dates over the period of a year. Within the initial glances of her first dates with five bachelors, it's revealed that Lucy is marrying -- but which one. There's some predictability -- you know which ones are a definite "no," but it maintains a credible element of mystery and guessing.Julianne Nicholson, who plays Lucy's sister is completely charming and an actress to watch. This is also a must for fans of John Hannah who appears all too briefly.
