Smartorhypo Highly Overrated But Still Good
Glimmerubro It is not deep, but it is fun to watch. It does have a bit more of an edge to it than other similar films.
FirstWitch A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
Logan By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.
jai5012002 The 16 years old amateur photographer Charles accidentally takes a photo of Laura - and falls in love with her, when he develops the picture. He finds out that she works as singer in a bar, but is about to be thrown out. Although rejected at first by the 23 years old, he wants to help her and starts an ad campaign behind her back... with unexpected results. The film was shot in Wilmington NC where they used the local school and locals as extras. It was one of the first movies made there at the film studio.i worked in the wardrobe department. It was a lot of fun. Working with so many young actors. Hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it.
gwnightscream Jon Cryer, Keith Coogan, Annabeth Gish star in this 1987 comedy-drama. Cryer (Pretty in Pink) plays Andrew, a mid 20's stockbroker whose on the run when he's targeted by hit men working for a former business associate/mobster awaiting trial. Andrew decides to masquerade as student, Maxwell at a high school where his nerdy cousin, Patrick (Coogan) attends and hides there. He soon becomes popular and finds romance with female student, Ryan (Gish) who eventually learns his real identity. I watched this growing up and always thought it was pretty good. Cryer is great in it and he and Gish have good chemistry. I recommend this.
wes-connors When youthful Boston stockbroker Jon Cryer (as Andrew Morenski) is called to testify against a mobster, he is targeted by hit men. Narrowly escaping their gunfire, Mr. Cryer decides to disguise himself. He shaves his beard, gets two-tone hair, and changes clothing. Cryer goes to seek help from his suburban high school-aged cousin Keith Coogan (as Patrick Morenski), who first mistakes Cryer for a homosexual. Making full use of his juvenile grin, Cryer assumes the identity Maxwell "Max" Hauser, after a coffee container...Back in high school, Cryer reluctantly goes roller-skating with attractive Annabeth Gish (as Ryan Campbell) while Roy Orbison sings "Crying", but worries about a relationship due to their age difference. When it's time for a good-night kiss, Cryer pretends to be coming down with a cold, but Ms. Gish doesn't care. There are bigger concerns for Cryer and his new teen pals as the mob closes in... You will surely see how this film could have been better, but also note how nicely everyone does in spite of that - and go along for the ride.****** Hiding Out (11/6/87) Bob Giraldi ~ Jon Cryer, Keith Coogan, Annabeth Gish, Oliver Cotton
cvf71 off the wall, but does anyone know how to get a complete credits list? or Bradley (boy in drivers ed car), if you're reading this, post your full name for me! now, i have to actually compose 10 lines to post this, so lets just ramble. the boy in the back seat in the drivers ed scene is a long lost friend of mine from college i'm trying to reach. i'm running out of things to say...saw the movie; cryer looks like duckie & unfortunately, looks like he never pulled away from that 80's "flock of seagulls" look. not a huge fan, so regrettably, this is the last movie in which i remember cryer. i can only assume & hope that he has progressed onto Broadway after the 80's trend
