InformationRap This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
BelSports This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
patricerashay This is a beautiful movie, filled with raw emotion. Everything about it was great: the story of two different families and how they clashed, the historical importance and how it affected them, the directing, the acting---everything. It was very artistic and maybe even experimental but the delivery was perfect. I laughed, I cried, I was excited and heartbroken. In the end, there is a powerful message.
Mahendra Vishwakarma Racial discrimination is a dark and sensitive topic. The movie is about the same faced by Korean origins living in states. A African American girl living in a shady neighborhood is emotionally attached to Korean friends and thinks of them as family. The girl's family are hostile against the Korean guys. The movie revolves around day today difficulties & racial abuse faced by them by different origin of Americans. The struggle of the Korean guys and black girl has been nicely portrayed. The ending of the movie is dark.
thunderbolito A great well put together story with all kinds of emotions from the various actors that are part of it, Chon definitely killed it being director and actor in a movie that holds the spirit of independent film within itself,I enjoyed it very much as I hope others will, all the very best to future projects as I will be looking forward to support it, Asian actors are very typecast in general and this films gives a view in this particular settings as well as those around them that shows the humanity in all.
samf2006 I have never went from loving a film to literally hating it overnight, the film GOOK is a well made piece of art that I actually really enjoyed, but upon during further research on the LA uprising I came across something really disturbing ,a little black 15 year old girl named Latasha Harlins. Learning about this little girl and how what happened to her was part of what was leading to the Uprisings, it gave me a new perspective On the film GOOK.
