Reviews

Platicsco Good story, Not enough for a whole film
Erica Derrick By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.
Guillelmina The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
Jenni Devyn Worth seeing just to witness how winsome it is.
mckw93 Free Fire begins well, introducing the characters with an increasing excitement on what is about to unfold. The film then flips a switch with really superficial conflicts between the characters. As the shootout occurs, the characters start to feel paper thin, with little wit or charm. The "free fire" felt like a painfully slow crawl, begging to just end, occasionally feeling mindless. I do not think this film is bad, just very average, at times languid and boring. It's a shame as I felt the film wasted it's great cast. Echoing the review "Like Res Dogs but worse", Free Fire is simply devoid of the charm Reservoir Dogs has.
yan_mac He of Sightseers and Kill List delivers on every level
SnoopyStyle Various people arrive in a deserted warehouse to do an illegal gun deal. Shots are fired. This is essentially an extended shoot them up action play in a single room. The problem starts with a lack character exposition. This is important because it's hard to tell who is on which side. Once the shooting starts, it's hard to tell the geography or the teams. It's a lot of shots in the legs. It would be compelling if I cared about any of the characters. It may be more compelling to do this rooting for one side. I don't even care if either side wins, loses, or dies. That's a hard way to watch a shoot them up.
Hamood Khalid For a movie that is basically an hour and a half of people shooting at each other, it is really boring and dull. This movie is like playing a shooting game with your friends and realizing halfway through the game that you and your friends are really bad at video games. The movie had a simple idea and a good cast but unfortunately the writing shot it down.
