SunnyHello Nice effects though.
CrawlerChunky In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
Plustown A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.
Siflutter It's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.
Wizard-8 I got this movie via one of those Mill Creek Entertainment DVD packs that came with three other movies. I decided to watch the movie because I wanted to see what a modern day Mexican comedy was like. After watching it, I have no desire to watch any other offerings from that particular genre. There are many problems with the movie, but what I objected to most of all was the sorry script. Its story is pretty formula and stretched out past the breaking point. Actually, that might have not been so bad had there been plenty of funny gags along the way, but that's not the case. For one thing, the movie comes off more like a somewhat lighthearted drama than a comedy, and when the movie DOES try to be funny, the gags are lame and obvious. It doesn't help that the central character is quite obnoxious, so there's nothing funny about her. Also, I feel I should mention that if it weren't for the occasional uses of nudity and foul language, I would have sworn that this was a made for television effort instead of a feature film; the movie's low budget is painfully evident throughout. The best I can say for the movie is that it isn't as bad as most of the movies coming from my country (Canada).
tirkkanen Adela is a rebellious teenager with the attitude that she is right and everyone else is wrong. She needs to be the center of attention and she'll act stupid to make it so. With her attitude she gets sent to charm school. There she meets the typical characters in today's cinema; the nerd, the clumsy one, the stepford housewife and the sexual minority. Things happen and in the end Adela "learns her lesson" so to speak. The plot tries to carry a deeper meaning to the state Adela is in, but utterly fails to deliver (at least I didn't buy it). So what you are left with is superficial interaction within the same stereotypes you've seen in a million movies before. Plus the director seems to have a breast fixation, Adela flashes her boobies a few times too many, at least I can't see that they are relevant to the story. So the film is OK, but if you are like me and don't like to watch a teenager pissing people off and making a behavioral U-turn in an instant, which I found very unbelievable, think twice before watching.
Elmikee25 Completely filled with clichés. It's not a bad movie; it's just that it could have been way lot better. When i first saw the teaser poster, i thought it was going to bee a raunchy movie about girls doing really nasty stuff since, that's the new fashion in Mexican movie-making: profanity, sex and drugs (it only lacked the drugs element, and that's good, since it's intended for +15 year old girls). Boy was i disappointed; since it doesn't even feel like a romantic comedy; nor a comedy per se: Lame plot, bad jokes, predictable characters, and as always, it doesn't reflect the real Mexican society at it's full...Again, It's not a bad movie, the photography is decent, and after all Camila Sodi looks beautiful, and you get to see Martha Higareda's Bossoms, from time to time, and Blanca Guerra's still as sexy as when she played "La Bronca".I recommend watching this film on rental, to really get your money's worth; go see another movie... Maybe Kilometro 31.
Barbaro Babuckas nothing further than this, the movie is full of stereotypes and its like a copy of those films for brainless teenagers, i would say if you are someone between 14-18 years old and you like the free living style the rebel and stupidity of adolescence, give a shot to niñas mal, otherwise if you have delicate taste for movies and intelligence , the comedy here would be almost insulting, boring.its ... like those Hollywood films of teens with social troubles and terrible jokes, the classic movie based on some teenager with problems, love, fun and else.the music is... well, nothing special or relevant, it fix with this movie but again nothing special to considering.and the way how the school for this ladies was done , is horrible , you cant see the value of the school which had to be some of the main points in this movie.anyway, its a good movie, just for some audiences, for teenagers and their mod, to those kids without control or social problems , with their parents and things like that.
